Is this lady still alive 8 years later? That’s what I want to know. Prayers 🙏
I've been there, sister. Still there, actually. I was supposed to get a catheter ablation, but I wasn't receiving enough oxygen while I was under. I ended up with a defibrillator implant. One month ago, it fired 12 times because my heartbeat reached 180 BPM. Yikes! I immediately went to see my electrophysiologist. They changed the settings to 200 BPM. It was quite the painful experience and I'm hoping to never experience it again. I've had two cardioversions performed on me. One put me in sinus rhythm for a couple of months, the second one only kept me in sinus rhythm for a few weeks. Right now, I'm in sinus rhythm again, but I don't know how long it will last. I still feel flutters. I know what it's like, not being able to walk the dog, not being to enjoy doing regular activities because the beats in your chest leaves you immobilized. I'm taking full advantage that I'm back in sinus rhythm. Stay strong, sister.
What is sinus rhythm?
@@davidrobinson9528 where there is the full set of waves/complexes.. If you're heart isn't beating properly, it can show in an ecg as a missing wave or increased space between the waves etc.. For example, a junctional rhythm is a heart beat that is instigated at the atrio ventricular node/junction, rather than the SA node which is where it's meant to start from..
You can have varying heart issues while still having sinus rhythm, like tachycardia and bradycardia.. Conversely, your bradycardia or tachycardia can be caused by a non-sinus rhythm like a junctional rhythm.

Here is a basic video on ecg interpretation..
I have HCM also. I'm having the catheter ablation done to me this month.
@@biddrickbidmen4774 the best of luck to you.. I sincerely hope you recover quickly, and it's a success.
@@davidrobinson9528 it's rhythm that will makes you dance all night long.

Why is the institute called Swedish Heart and Vascular? More precisely: why Swedish?
It is part of a healthcare company founded by Swedish immigrants in the late 1800s.
Now there’s camzyos, there is a cure after all these years…
Don’t let her fool you. HCM isn’t curable at all!
In HOCM, Alcohol septal ablation significantly reduce the hypertrophic mass in the heart, it will improvise the symptoms in the patient to a great extend!
