  • The birthplace of Our Lady according to legend, The Holy House of Loreto is one of the most significant shrines in Christian history. Countless saints have flocked to this site over the centuries with the intention to venerate the Mother of God in the very same house where the Annunciation took place.
    Buona Giornata!

I was wondering and, maybe you would know- is there an assumed “house of Saint John??” Obviously it would be in Jerusalem, but I figured you would know because of your holy research and works….. ❤❤❤
I wondered because isn’t that where Our Blessed MOTHER MARY lived after the Resurrection???🙏🏻💙🇺🇸💔🕊️

I haven’t been able to find anything specific about Saint John’s house in Jerusalem, but I do know that he and Our Lady moved up to Ephesus shortly after the crucifixion. There’s another little house out there that was recognized as Mary’s home by Pope Leo XII in 1896. Saint John would have lived there with Our Lady until his exile to the Island of Patmos.

Are there any clergymen buried in the Basilica?

I don’t believe so. I couldn’t find any personally or in my research.
