    I made this yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful. Your videos have helped me delve into other meals that I would never have attempted and are so easy to follow. Keep up the good work :)

    excellent love a good beef stew from the slow cooker, did you know that you can flour the beef at the start of the cook for the same results.

    Those rock fences probably took several generations to build. The stew looks great.

    And this is one of the reasons I love the cooler months. Basically October -March. Getting shopping list ready, going for this, your Scotch broth and the Shortbread biscuits........... the house is going to smell so good. Haven’t made a big batch in awhile… but portions should freeze well… agree? Thanks again. LK

    Thank you so much for sharing your recipe with us. I can't wait to cozy up with this on colder nights, maybe even with a homemade buttery roll for the delicious gravy❤️

    Lass you have made my mouth water. Your video showed what I think was a 6.5Litre Slow Cooker. Would searing the meat add anything? Hope not - dump it in and wait is my idea of cooking.

    • @WhatsForTea
      @WhatsForTea  6 лет назад +3

      Hi James :) You could sear the meat before hand if you wanted....I used to, but decided it didn't really add anything :) An extra step which just seemed a bit unnecessary. I like to just chuck everything in and come back later lol.

    We dislike wine, could we use more stock instead?

    • @WhatsForTea
      @WhatsForTea  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Helen :) I wouldn't substitute anything to be honest...There's enough stock in it already....so it won't dry out anyway. Thanks for watching

    I always thought you were never to take the lid off the slow cooker as it loses all its heat and adds on alot of cooking time onto it?

    I think my favorite part of the potatoes that soak up all of that wonderful liquid. :-) I use Thyme and a bay leaf and a little bit of garlic. Now I want to make a beef stew but the only beef I have two T-bone steaks and one porterhouse steak. I am debating cutting the meat off those bones to make a beef stew!
