I’m from cluj, the city is very nice but you can see most things in 1 day, there are a lot of gorgeous places around cluj tho like Salina turda, cheile turzii, Stufărișurile de la Sic and many more.
OMG your dad is hilarious, he has great taste, thoes ROM bars were my childhood, and their recipe has never changed! I loved watching you all explore cluj! Romania is a super underated country but thats changing quickly and I love to see that thanks to you! Its always been more industrial like Germany or poland, but we have beautiful cities that were planned to be beautiful and inspired by other marvels of their time such as paris for bucharest, or venice for timisoara! You'll notice each city has an interesting different euopean esc architecture, ranging from german, to French, to italian, to even spanish. We even have some ottoman architecture especially in constanta our big beach city! I hope you guys enjoyed/enjoy rome and the rest of italy! My favorite city there is Florence forever ❤️, but rome is art!

@@sierramarie don't worry there's always next time when it comes to traveling, and yes actually you can order them in the US! Either through Amazon, or if you have one of the fancier supermarkets around you like Marianos or something, they have it in the "European" candy sections. That's how I always kept my appetite filled when I was in Chicago for college lol. I'm so glad you enjoyed romania, I hope you get to visit again soon, and get to see Florence! ❤️

My wife is From Bucharest. I am from The Western US. My son lived and studied in Cluj for 6 months. He lives in Sibiu now. I have tried to convince my wife for years that we should move back to Romania. But she is from the communist Era where they were brainwashed that America is SO much better. Which it is not. My military pension of 5k a month we could live great there. That is nothing here in the West. But she won't listen lol. I am not your normal American. I speak Spanish and French very well. I am B level in Romanian but would be fluent in 6 months or less living in country. Since I already speak two Romance languages. You have an opportunity of a life time! You really are lucky to have gotten out of the rat race of America.

I have never seen such an intelligent comment from an American that I assume didn't have a very progressive focused education as most don't. I'm a romanian that lived in the usa for a few years, and 99% of the country was nothing but the exact same parking lots, same looking boring buildings, and highways. The only cities I've enjoyed have been Chicago and New york, as they were the only ones I could live fully car free in, and get a bit of a European feel of busy streets, but even thoes cities barley compare to smaller European cities, nevertheless huge and rich ones like Paris. This isn't even touching on the ridiculous laws in the usa, the lack of them as well, and the general horrible culture in most of the usa, just anti pedestrian-anti collective, etc. I really loved a lot of American people though even if they were very misinformed, most mean well hence why I feel such strong hate for the country of the usa. Americans deserve better

I ate several tens of thousands of pieces in 70' and 80' !!😂😂 They ( Rom chocolate) also survived during the great comunist economic crisis from 80'. But I found to buy few pieces in that periode !😢😮🎉

I would invite you to visit Constanta - Biggest city on the Black Sea....But Not Now. mabe in 2 years, since all the city is in major construction- big boulevards being rebuild with new sidewalks and bikes special routes....mabe in 2 years everything will be ready + New Footbal Stadium will be built in about 2 years strating from september this year ! Its a long video but very well done.Old and new Mamaia....its a 6-7 miles ( 10 km) long beach....hotes,resorts, clubs,,restaurants,bars,beach bars,everything you want ! Its insane....Thats why I said Constanta is a must visit of Romania !
