Small correction on Mikaeus: Walking Ballista will not win the game with him without a sacrifice outlet. As he gives a +1/+1 bonus to all non-humans, Ballista becomes a 1/1 that will return to play with a counter. It can ping itself to die and come back again for infinite ETB triggers for stuff like Altar of the Brood, but it cannot take out opponents without having a sac outlet to get it off the board.

I've gotten my playgroup to not use combos or a whole lot of counters. We run board wipes and targeted removal, but almost no counters. It's made games so much more fun. So many interactions and decks with really cool themes. When decks go for counters and combos, every deck just turns into 30ish lands, 2-3 instant win-con combo cards, and 60ish cards that only serve the purpose of tutoring for the 2-3 win-con cards or countering/delaying the game until I draw the win-con cards. Those games are just boring, at least for me they are for me and my playgroup. We're very happy with our current decks.
You didn't mention, but worth noting, the best combo I've seen lately with Aetherflux is Bolas's Citadel. You keep paying a bit of life to cast your cards but you net more life each time. If you can get a Sensai's Divining Top you can just loop it for infinite.
I had a hilarious deck that won with Powerstone Shard + Mechaned Production + Rain of Hailfire. To put the power into perspective, X = 16 if you have 4 shards (mechanized production creates a new copy each turn), which ramps exponentially (e.g. with 6 shards, X = 36).
Lab Jace is often played as a 2nd copy of Maniac in dramatic scepter builds, and I definitely see him quite often, I wouldn't disregard him completely. Otherwise, great list, but I'm a bit surprised you didn't mention the aforementioned dramatic scepter wincondition. Scepter is a hell of a card!
