It's been a very long time since I've had a 30+ game haul but hey, the money's spent, the game collections are now bigger. I love collecting physical games as well, I don’t know why but I love pulling a game off the shelf and looking at the box art and popping the disc into my console, it’s something you can’t experience and feel with a digital only console.
Yeah I feel the exact same way. There's just something about looking for something to play and actually going through the shelves to find a game that is nostalgic for me!
I would love to see more of these in the future. Seeing your enjoyment opening them is just lovely. Looking forward to the videos

I love these types of videos! Ive started collecting for the ps3, ps4 and psp with just a couple switch games coz they are alot more. Eventually do want to collect for ps5, xbox one, xbox 360 and switch. I'm excited for the video ideas! I want to start getting ps3 Plats but I don't know where to start😅
I used to have a hefty collection with everything from Playstation, Nintendo and Xbox but sadly had to really downsize and just stick with the PS3, 4 and 5. Excited to get back into some serious collecting though and this was a nice start I think! 😂
@MayorHairBear I've always been into playstation but I got a deal coming weds for advanced warfare limited edition xbox one for 65quid with them driving it to me and just couldn't say no. My biggest collection is deffo my ps3 collection. Nothing really expensive but it has a special place in my heart just like the nintendo wii as that was my first console😅 but yeah deffo good start! I love the cod series too but the ones you weren't really into I loved and the ones you liked/loved I didn't haha
@MayorHairBear ooo yes sleeping dogs, I loved getting the plat on ps4 and did all the dlc and had to get it on ps3 so I can get it plat again one day
I get the appeal of physical collections man, getting to hold a disc and look at the cool case is just such an amazing feeling.
Yeah something about holding the games, or for older titles, flipping through the manual or getting a poster or map just so many memories!
Phenomenal pick ups! That Battlefield 3 platinum has been on my backlog forever too lol. Just have to mention how ugly the Australian age rating logo is. It's so big and intrusive 😭

Shadows of the Damned is one of my favorite games of all time, I'm actually shocked at you getting that one for $20! That's one of the rare occasions where its actually more expensive in the US, at around $30. I'm holding off on the PS3 version for now, like you I played it on Xbox, but I'd like to go for the platinum, however they announced a remaster back in the summer.
I love the amount of HD collections on PS3! I really want to pick up that Prince of Persia collection at some point, PoP (2008) is a very underrated game, and with its art style, it still holds up super well, just did that game on Xbox last year! I just picked up the Splinter Cell HD Collection recent, I'm hoping to grab all three plats from that!
Hearing you talk about earning the plat in awful games, may I recommend Mindjack? It's terrible and will require a coop partner for a few trophies, but it's almost worth it as the cutscenes are so bad they're good lmao. The gameplay is just bad though. At least it's pretty cheap if I recall right.
Finally, YEAHHH Alpha Protocol! I haven't played it yet, but I've been really wanting to grab a PS3 copy and go for the platinum! It seems like such a fun underrated game!

Always love a good vide game haul!! We have the same problem here in Norway that there are few to none retro gaming shops, so I have to rely on Ebay or Finn in order to get some of the older games. I am a big physical game collector myself, it's just something so satisfying to have a game in a shelf that you can look at.
Btw, how do you record from your PS3? Have been wanting to do that for a while but haven't been able to find a method that works for me...
Nothing better than a good video game haul is there! I feel the same, nothing better than looking through the collection and just getting blasts from the pasts from that alone!
So to record my PS3, I use my elgato HD60 S+ with a hdmi splitter brand name orei. It's an american splitter that I use a travel adapter for but that's the only splitter I've gotten to work for the PS3!

I’ve been waiting to get the metal gear solid collection on PS3 for a while but it was always 50+ dollars whenever I saw it in game stores. Recently I went down to Brazil to visit my wife’s family and they had a copy on the shelf for the equivalent of 16 American dollars. Nice thing for me the United States and Brazil are the same region for the PS3 so it works great. Kind of like that my box has Portuguese on it too.
Hell yeah, I remember I used to buy a lot of games from Hong Kong because they were half the price in Australian dollars but worked on our consoles!
Highly recommend checking out SoulCalibur 6! Some of the new fighting mechanics they added are a lot of fun. Sitting through the dialogue and “cutscenes” for the story modes can be a little tedious, but it’s at least fairly interesting if you’re a fan of the characters and lore. Idk I thought it was a fun platinum, if not a tad tedious

Dont worry mate, i play almost exclusively on PC and still buy games twice so that I've got a physical copy... Ive got multiple spreadsheets and everything lol. Got pretty much everything i want atm for ps3/360 and now starting on the ps4/xbone generation now as a lot of it's getting cheap on eBay.
I agree with that there not a lot of retro shops. I've never seen one in my country. For you in Australia you probably have more.
Honestly I haven't seen any in Australia either. They probably exist but right in the cities which I'm not close to
I prefer physical as well, and here in Aus the physical discs are way cheaper than the digital prices which is insane haha

As of right now, to my knowledge these were all still obtainable but the issue is that changes everyday. As long as a game has no online trophies then it's all g!
I think Bad Company 1 is going offline soon, it has a 10,000 online kill trophy 🤯

Hey man I've been trying to record my ps3 with elgato but im struggling what recording process do you use?
Yeah it is a pain. So I use an elgato HD60 S+ for all my console recording and to get that to work with the ps3 I use a HDMI splitter

PS3 and 360 generation definitely falls under nostalgia. I was 8 years old when the 360 and PS3 released, and 16 when the PS4 and Xbox One came out. Definitely an era of nostalgia for me personally
I think I can guess the video and I’m guessing it’s something with stacks. I know ps4 to ps5 is easier for stacking games. I’m an Xbox 360 and Xbox Series X achievement hunter. So to “stack” is just playing the game over again completely. And I imagine the PS3 is the same lol. I think it would be a cool idea

FYI the silent hill hd collection is the worst version you can play of those games. Konami lost the source code and the company that made the "remaster" did a really poor job. Also, SH3 doesn't have the original (far superior) english dub.
So expect a bad experience with low FPS, slowdowns, zero amd/or glitched fog effects, glitches a go-go and more problems than you can imagine. Sure, you can technically finish both games... Or you could play them on a PC. Silent Hill 2 has an amazing and easy to install modset to remaster the game.
Oh, ALSO Sh3 is a sequel to Sh1: expect to be somewhat lost if you don't play sh1 first.

Can i ask why you "downsized" by getting rid of 360 games only to buy their PS3 equivalent?
Good question. The reason I downsized was not because of the size of our new place but shipping it all over here. It wasn't realistic unfortunately to spend thousands of dollars extra to ship over games realistically I wasn't going to play. Hence why I kept my playstation titles and why I can start buying those games again now
