    In case of gilman reagent you said that there is a cavity between two ring hence attack will always favour up side regardless of steric hindrance! But here we have to take consider the steric hindrance! Why so? Please clear the doubt

      Because in that case no 1,3 diaxial interaction was present ...which is the main factor here ...

    Hello mam, I have a small doubt. In the comparison between axial and equatorial attack, if the antibonding of C-Nu bond getting more electron density in case of axial than equatorial, then the C-Nu bond should get weaker in case of axial attack, then should it not be opposite, like the equatorial attack will be more favored than axial, according to this logic?

      2-alkyl ketone effect does not ensure that 2-alkyl cyclohexanone would be in axial form. It only states that energy difference between axial and equitorial is less than expected..means it is possible to get higher % axial form than theoritical expectations as there may be an eclipsing interaction with carbonyl. Now as Jyoti di has taken an example with methyl group, there is no confusion as it is reported in Nasipuri very clearly that me group is too small to create eclipsing strain with carbonyl. Equitorial methyl is major conformer for 2-methyl cyclohexanone.

    Mam liAlH4 attack karta hai to AlH4- ka Al-H bond attack karta hai na ki H- jo CH3 se jyada balki hai to AlH4 ko bhi niche se hi attack karna chahiye na plz explain

    Mam if C-H donate electron to the sigma 🌟 orbital, bond order decrease isn't it?...so nucleophile have less chance to make sigma bond on axial attack. Please kindly clear this doubt.

    mam one doubt only...cyclohexanone m sapne btaya nu axial s aayega kuki jo antibonding bnega usme easily C-H ki electron density ka transfr hoga to doubt ye h ki transfr kaise hoga do u have ani proof for tht?? and agr aisa transfr hota h to fr kisi k antibonding m electrons aaye to fr uska bonding tut jayega obviously to fr nu nikal jayega.. so pls solve my doubt mam asap

      You can find this concept in Organic Chemistry by Clayden.
      Also electron transfer completely Nahi hota hai ki bond hi break ho jaayega , this is just the delocalisation.
      And we know already, delocalisation leads to decrease in energy of the system.

    Thank you for your lectures, at time 6 minute you said CH bond is weak than CC bond but bond energies of the two is reflecting otherwise moreover CH bond is also almost nonpolar as significant energy difference is not there, Kindly cite the reference of your explanation and try to find some other explanation for electron donation ease. I may be wrong, Kindly explain, thank you.
