Tony’s knowledge that the design was a landscape increases the beauty of the piece in my mind.

I was suprized that she had never heard of him before!

I was at this show. Great fun, but I suggest if you attend, go early in the day. It seemed the appraisers got a little burned out towards the end of the day.

Crazy... these look like 10$ junk pieces to me... Maybe if I saw them in person, it would change my mind but I don't see the 25k+ value from just from the video alone.

That goes for a lot of art. The value isn't in the composition but the history, the artist, the context, etc.

Oh, I doubt it. His work definitely sells for that much or more these days. After looking at some comps from various auction houses it seems like a fair estimate.
