Wow, I really love this! You were able to capture the atmosphere of this song wonderfully. The sheet music itself also looks really cool with all the arpeggios as well as all the non-melody rhythms you used. The only thing I found a little off was the fact that the melody was just eighth notes for a good portion while the original song does not quite do that. I feel that it took a little away from the light, energetic feel and made it more of a smooth, flowing kind of feel (that's kind of vague but oh well), though that can be taken as an interesting rendition. Oh and I wish you would have done a full arrangement because I love this so much. I look forward to hearing your next arrangement!
Altoquest Thanks, I'm glad I was able to capture the atmosphere :) I feel that the sheets are kind of ugly/messy with the whole swing rhythm written using triplets and sextuplets 😅 but it looks kind of cool too I guess. The reason for the eight notes is that I wanted to give a more lullaby feel at the beginning of the verse, and you can see that I start to follow the original melody/rhythm around 0:37 as we progress towards the prechorus. Anyways, thank you very much, I'm always looking forward to your feedback! Maybe I will do the whole song in the future :)
Oh, I forgot to explain my reasoning for using eight notes after the beginning of the verse... @0:59: writing the melody using eight notes created a nice syncopated rhythm with the "dotted eight note - sixteenth note" otherwise it would've sounded a little weird and be harder to play @1:08: I used eight notes so I could play them with the triplets, otherwise it would be near impossible haha
