Amazingggg additions. Especially the keyframe curves! Looks so professional now! Thank you so much for the video! Would have totally missed these new features without ya @benclaremont!
I've been an editor for over 35 years, so editing video on a website is definitely different! But hey, I'm digging these new features. Looks like web-based video editing is the way of the future.
Grand rising! WOW, WOW and WOW again. Thank you so much for this update/tutorial. Thanks for the clear, easy to follow, step by step tutorial, which is going to save me hours of video editing, because I edit multi-came video interviews/podcasts (3 cameras). It seems as if this is going to much easier than premiere pro, as it also has multicam editing, however, I'v enever used it because each time I try to, it gets complicated and does not seem as practice as the example you just did on capcut. This weekend I'm doing the editor's cut for the 3 cams for one project and will practice on capcut. I want and NEED to master capcut, like your teaching style, because you do not assume we know everything from the jump, and thus I'll check out your course info. Thanks again, have a great productive day and weekend ahead.
Great video...I hope the Multicam feature can come to the mobile/tablet version of the app....I want to use a tablet/ipad for editing instead of PC but don't like the way mobile version is not a full multi track platform as you can't put transitions between clips on overlay tracks, only the main video track....which they would put more effort in making their tablet version more desktop like.
Yeah I think it would be more effort than it’s worth to edit multicam on a mobile device - just getting the footage there to begin with would be an effort. Would definitely recommend using the desktop editor - it’s the only version of CapCut I use.
@@BenClaremont yeah I get it from a processor architecture perspective and what they are capable of,.....I use a laptop in my full time 9 to 5 job, and also for my part time wedding videography work (Davinci resolve) so for my travel vlogs and family video projects I wanted something more portable and on the go that I can pick up and set down whilst spending time with the family and can do a bit here and there, so I've been using Lumafusion which I think is the most desktop and professional minded editing application available for android devices (I'm not an apple lover lol) but it lacks the craziness of transitions and effects that Capcut has so I mainly use Capcut to build my short montage pieces and export those and then use lumafusion to piece together the final video.
Thanks! Yes the desktop version is free - but some tools within the editor require a pro subscription. You’ll also need an internet connection to use it unfortunately - as it has lots of templates that require it.
Hi Ben, your videos are always very informative. Also i have been trying to make my the Capcut video playhead follow the video while the vidoe is playing, but the playhead always stays stationary.
And also I have been seeing online that Capcut now offer transcript based editing, but I can't seem to find that feature avaliable yet on my capcut pc app.
Thank you for the great video. Under Multicam I tried the same. I mark 2 videos, but do not get the option to choose Multicam when from the meny. It´s not visible in the meny. I have the free desktop version on MAC of the software . PS! I found an alternativ solution. You can also mark clips and deactivate.
Ben, I am attempting to use "create multi-camera clip" on my Capcut Pro using my Mac trackpad, and, needless to say, I cannot right-click. In fact, the actual option to do this function does not exist under my "compound clip" option as it does in your demonstration. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am sending a Thanks as I find your channel invaluable.
Hi Steve, so multicam and compound clips are 2 different things. For multicam you’ll want to make sure the clips are NOT compound clips, or it won’t be able to apply it correctly. Try selecting both clips, then right click to bring up the menu (there must be a right click workaround for trackpads- you might want to search on RUclips how to do it).
I'm basically an amateur editor, and trying to use Capcut on a Chromebook. I cannot find any of these new features, and I'm afraid that they don't work very well on Chromebook. I cannot even install the desktop version. I'm about to give up on the ChromeBook. Do you have any insights into this? Thank you!
Get a MacBook or even a Mac mini for desktop version. I was windows + Android user for a long time but some apps doesn’t work properly. When I contacted couple of apps they all gave me one answer. For Apple products they can tune in easily because it’s just 4 - 7 devices which comes every year and every device have same OS and tweeks. But in windows or android every company tune their products according to their wish like one UI , oxygen os etc.
@@Vro_fudzilla Appreciate a lot, thank you! I had wished to not have to invest in a more expensive computer, especially not an Apple. Sadly they're still kinda the best. I don't like how they make you totally dependent on them. But will have to consider. Thanks for your information, validation that it's not only me noticing that android chromebook etc don't work as well...
@@helenaclaesson6469 it’s the sad reality but me owning a MacBook for 4years I’m able to do almost everything in it. 😍 this is one time investment and will be worth for 10years, my buddy recently stopped using his 2012 MacBook Pro because it’s so slow… Welcome to the family.
Bout time CapCut started doing user friendly stuff! It has made a difference in workflow. A year ago it took me a month to dial in a highlight wedding film. Now it’s about 2 weeks for the same type of workflow. CapCut is no longer a “beginner” program. For those who are wondering get the pro you will not be disappointed, it is on par with final cut, but like anything else it depends on your taste. Personally I’ve found CapCut to be the easiest editor I’ve ever used by a long shot, and takes me 5-6 hours on average to edit a 10 minute video (including this tutorial). Soooo much simpler than Premiere Pro & DaVinci, even before these updates 😀
Sorry for the wandering autofocus... my camera decided to turn Eye AF off to mess with me 🤦🏻♂
could we get a link to your tutorials of adding borders to mp4? using Capcut?
Thanks!
My pleasure Steve, many thanks for the support! Very kind of you 😀

For sure - I use it for all my videos now 😀
Audio EQ would be great
These are fantastic additions by Capcut! Great video breaking it down.

I love Capcut Pro
Me too 😀
my Capcutdoesnt have Relight option
If you could easily ripple delete as you do in davinci I’d probably switch. I love CapCuts ease of use and library of effects ETC
You can with the workaround I showed in the video 😉

How can you do the multi edit but with including a talking head on your B roll?
Nothing is different - this very video cut between a talking head and screen recording, and I used multicam editing.

As long as some features are not available in some countrys i wont switch from da vinci

Compound comes with dangerous. It limits what you can do in CapCup. Copy attributes and multiple cameras are very s*xy. Thanks.
What limits? You can always double click the compound clip to access what’s inside it.
