I use a nitrile glove with a cotton jersey glove over it. Works great. This is the way the tower pros do it. Also, always fill gaps like one under the rotator with a SS washer sandwiched in there.
Nice work! Im actualy building my own tower but i have a question whats the diameter in mm of the zig zag bars. I was looking at the rohn 25 mesurments but i got confused with the imperial mesurments😂. If you can could you mesure them for me? 73s from Slovenia.
I OBVIOUSLY MISSED SOMETHING--Bad neighbors complain to HOA now a tower? Do I have QTH mixed up? Fantastic, congrats! Qould love to have 10ft tower haha de WO8USA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
In Florida - No HOA, just my neighbor (Karen) complaining to the city. This neighbor also cut my J-pole's coax cable. The Texas house is in a HOA and that's where I had to move my 40m skyloop.
Very Interesting.... What STEPIR are you going to put on that tower? Should be fun to see what your local planning and zoning dept. reveals regarding the tower permit. Now on to the hole digging.... what dimensions? Rebar and grounding next right? Were I to do this at my QTH I would have a tilt over base plate and electric motor winch to allow maintenance of the antenna. Of course you Hazer tram can allow up and down.... BTW is there a PART 1? Hey Art, here's the Video of Part 1: ruclips.net/video/UCSGzXoQghw/видео.html I purchased a used SteppIR Urbanbeam. Took a trip to South Miami. Man it was warm down there. I have my building permit for my ham radio tower approved. The dimension will be 3'x3'x4'. I am planning on doing the tilting tower with a winch. Maybe I'll re-sell the Tower Tram (Hazer) of just go ahead and use it on my tilting tower. I've already started my Part 3 video; the fabrication of my tiliting mechanism and the great dig. 73 for now, N4VFR

where do you buy the tower tram? that look awesome!
Hamfest in Orlando. The guy only had 2 on hand. He doesn't know if the fellow will continue to make them.
Thank you! That is really awesome! @@DarrenN4VFR
Is permit for Duval or just Neptune Beach? Pete K4PAD
Building permit for Atlantic Beach.
Great job Mr Darren. I hope to be one of your first EU contacts with the Steppir. Cheers. de ON8EI John.
Thanks John! I've been pretty busy/hurry to get this tower up.
