PHANTAZN
PHANTAZN is a Taiwanese-American Brooklyn based DJ, producer, and selecta of massive chunes (cues airhorns). Their earliest love for dance music stems back to their childhood mastering Stepmania songs by NAOKI and SMiLE.dk on "Heavy" mode, drawing cues from their brother’s love for Gigi D'Agostino, parachute pants, and bleached bangs, and singing along to techno anime OSTs by Ayumi Hamasaki and Two-Mix. From liquid jungle, deranged donk, and grooved out footwork to jersey club, demonic techno, and intergalactic house, PHANTAZN weaves sounds that lock dancefloors into worlds of phantasy--rendering liberating experiences built in Unity, and driven by Unreal Engines that pump bloodrushing kicks, ringing hi-hats, and lush chords into unexplored realms of the collective simulation.
Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, they got their start on Northwestern University's WNUR, one of the first radio stations to start playing house music in the area. They've since put out a number of self-released titles including their CHAOSCORE series, the SPIRAL WITHIN EP, SUMMER SOULSTICE EP, as well as numerous singles-with their latest single "GET UP" out on LA record label Gyration Station. They've held residencies at The Lot Radio, Half Moon Radio, Playground Radio, and perform regularly throughout the Brooklyn underground dance scene.
