I think it's great! Change is rarely the best friend of someone who is autistic but as you said, change is a natural part of life. Structure for any child is a very good thing but switching it up when you know what is going to change and especially doing it this young, will benefit not only Lucy but you as the parent by learning how Lucy copes best with change in her schedule and how you can help her to cope. I love how everyone in Lucy's family is very understanding and accepting of who she is. You are all so patient and should be proud. You can tell that she knows she is loved and is proud of herself ❤ The store was a great idea and I got a big giggle out of Lucy using the toy as deodorant 😄 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to your whole family!
My son is the exact same with feeling confined! That’s the time I see the meltdowns come out. He’s fine with loud noises, new places, new ppl, as long as he’s free to run around and explore. He’s 4 and starting to finally say a few words! My son and your daughter are very similar it seems! My son is usually ok with the stores as long as I give him tasks like getting things for me and helping check out. He is very tough with changing certain routines like he won’t let my husband do anything I usually do like bath time, picking out pajamas, bedtime, etc. he gets extremely upset. Enjoying your videos!

Thank you so much for following along and it’s nice to hear someone is going through our same situation and gets it :)
