Hes fine bro,. he can best you on his hand combo.. Dota fights and combo are much slower than league.. There are good players of league activating skills + item(12+ times) in just 1.5 sec amd theres even animation cancels to bring more AA while activating spells and shit.

Dota 2's client is crazy slick. League is great but damn I wish it had a client like Dota's. Need 3D model preview, Skin preview and seamless loading screens!
Hots also has the 3d models, but still the dota client is def the best in the business
the 3d models are pretty neat, but I honestly prefer the splash art, I would really miss it if it was removed for models.

the client is better, and I personally prefer the art style and graphics WAY more than league's. league is brighter and clearer though, it's easier to see what goes on

I remember shifting from dota to league and was like: "Oh shit this is the easiest game i've played in my life."
This is exactly how i felt. I got bored in DOTA2 in 2013 (5.1kmmr here) i tried playing LoL and literaly the easiest game ever. Easy mechanics, no denies just last hits and you wouldn't even lose gold when you die. Map is very small with tiny blindspots lol.

You're both just having the same reactions I had when I watched Singsing playing League, at the beginning, he approached League like it was DOTA, diving turrets and dying, never using free wards, which vision's a team thing in League, etc. later he figured out both games are different, although, he was still committing mistakes that other league players wouldn't have made, for the most part, he had a good sense about 1v1s and 2v2s and he did well on those. On this video, I saw they tried to apply League strats, which don't work in DOTA, at least from what I learned from watching Singsing playing it.
The hardest part about playing the two, is remembering to switch up. Dota 2, you can just dive mother fuckers left and right with certain characters. Dota 2 has very specific role heroes, while league blends into normally 3, with a very few exceptions. I gotta say that I prefer dota 2 when spamming games just because I played it more and feel far more comfortable with it. Granted, I play Shaco in league so it's basically dota 2 in league LOL

League of Legends is simple but there is more to it when you finally understand the game.

3:20 fyi in dota they have turn rate on all heroes so they need amount of time to turn back and forth and some hero turn rate is different, the hero who not have turn rate is IO and the hero who can reduce turn rate is batrider .
not only IO, Jakiro and pango also don't have turn rate. they might look like they have it but it doesn't slow them down.
but, force staff still forces you to travel 600 units based on which direction pango/jakiro is facing.

As a league player, the turn rate is something that has thrown me off each time I've tried getting into Dota 2. Which has been a few times.

I found dota as a game much more difficult as there crowd control is much more punishing with stuns that can last 8 seconds and if you are against a good team can keep you stunned for 20 + seconds which is enough to kill almost any here. There are also global skillshots that can do up to 800 damage and there are techies who can make any one on the map explode with then realizing until its too late.

Dota mechanics? Dota has high ground and low ground, fog of war, because in the day time you have more vision, and during night time you have less. So you wont see ur enemy if your enemy is on the higher ground but of course they can see you. Unless ur support can place wards for the team, But placing wards should also be in correct places, you wouldnt want to get dewarded the second youve just placed the ward, but youll learn more of that as it goes.
When your playing mid, your suppose to have rune control, its to refill bottle. But if enemy beats you to the runes you can alway use courier to pick up bottle, fly it back to base to refill and back to you. Being mid means trying to sustain health and mana. Being mid, means your creeps are first to engage their creeps in lane.
You should have slight advantages than bot or top, such as gold and exp. With that being said, your job should be to rotate and gank asap when you get a core item, usually when that happens you should reach level 6 or 7, meaning youve got ur ultimate to utilize for which ever lane you and your team think you should help gank. But remeber taking mid means, you will be ganked alot, be aware.
As a support, its your job to buy courier, wards, deward, rotate gank mid so your mid can be ahead of their mid. Create space for mid, help ur carry by harassing enemy hero, Help deny creeps etc.
There should be 2 supports, position 4 sup, then position 5 hard sup. The both of ur jobs is to help mid or the carry, and create space for the late game. Try to be a useful support, even stacking creeps for the carries, itll help alot, if mid lost its lane or even the carry, creep stacking will help them catch back up. Rotation is key, so communicate.
The mechanics takes awhile to learn, but after when you are familiar with the mechanics, you'll learn and develop strategies.
It still gets frustrating for newer players because the margin of its learning curve has no limits. To make things even harder, patches, updates and etc.
It doesnt mean you can never become professional, it just means, doing your homework more.

IDK if you care but technically Corki was made before Gyrocopter, as Corki was in LoL in 2009 while Gyro was released in 2010 in 6.68. They are both based on the WC3 Gyrocopter model though so neither game actually got it first.
DotA 1 was before LoL so DotA had Gyro before League had Corki.
Dota has patches over time that add new heroes. The patch that added Gyrocopter wasn't released by icefrog until September 2010 in Dota 1, patch 6.68. Corki was available in LoL beta in 2009. dota2.gamepedia.com/Version_6.68

I will have to agree. As a Dota player that watches QT, this is hilarious. Especially since he (kind of) knows Dota from before, but obviously there have been lots of big patches since he's played. And him saying it feels laggy (because of turn rate) made me chuckle.
Their just so different now. Back then the difference wasn't that big and your only complaint with Dota and Dota 2 was no free backs and you need to buy an item to flash. I'm an OG Dota, back when it's just a mod and tower defenses we're a thing. Now i'm a LoL player, i tried Dota again and it felt Alien to me. Feels good man. Bacon LoL was designed right off the bat to make money and be casually based. Dota 2 was a passion project by Valve employees + Icefrog and they chose to not dumb the game down. That essentially sums up the games.

As a Dota player, the first time I played LoL, I got god like without knowing what most of the heroes do. Although I was winning but I definitely was not having the same amount of fun with winning a Dota game because the mechanics in Dota is more complex and there is less room for error. Beating opponents in Dota is much more satisfying because it means I have done many things right.

I play both games and if someone needs a clear explanation of what is each one:
League of legends: A martial arts championship, you need to use your skill and reflexes to win for almost every spell in za game have at least 0.5 seconds of delay (with some exceptions) to let you juke or scape.
Dota2: Yu Gi Oh, season 1. Yugi uses a card, BUT THE ENEMY WAS PREPARED FOR DAT CARD, BUT YUGI WAS PREPARED FOR THAT PREPARATION, BUT ZA BAD GUY WAS PREPARED FOR THAT TOO; thats Dota2. You need to know how to counter, chain CC's, and even if it sounds stupid, you need to see the map as a space of posibilites (The tango, the basic healing item, allows you to eat a tree to gain health, but that also means that you can use tangoes at low level to do easy ganks by opening a clear line between a dense forest to create an unexpected path for enemy players, and ETC).
League is simple, but focused (You know what to do and when to do it), but sometimes it feels repetitive, even if you buy new champions (There are 4 new characters per year, with currently 140 more or less), but its something that you will feel just sometimes; one of its strong points is the individualism of each champion, some of them have even more personality and essence than a lot of movie protagonists. What identifies your character is what spells it has, because they have scaling (If your character deals physical damage, its spells will do more p. damage with each p.damage item you buy, if your character is a mage, its spells will do more damage with each magical item you buy and Dota doesnt have this).
Dota2 is too intense, but like Hotline Miami, you learn to like that diificulty. (You will feel like garbage after dying 13213213 times against a character that can silence you for 6 seconds with a NON-ultimate ability, but once you are the one casting that 6 seconds silence YOU will feel like a god). Dota has a problem with its own characters, there are currently 120 more or les, with the 3 most recent ones being just added after like literally 12 years (Dota 1 became famous after 2005), but even with 20 or 22 less characters than League, it still feels fresh. What identifies your character tho, is what items do you build for him/her; you can play as a support hero, and buy ADC/Assassins items AND IT WILL WORK, because in Dota there are no scalings, ou depend more of your creativity to mix spells with your build, for almost every item has an active ability, while League likes to have more pasive items. (There is an item that can turn you invisible for 12 seconds and ALL the characters can buy it, in League that kind of power is reserved for one or two ultimates in some characters).
So, if you want to focus in skill and inhuman reflexes while using characters with incredibly fresh stories, design and personalities, you can try league.
If you want to focus on insane strategies planned weeks before a match with brokken ass spells while using mor classic RPG-looking like heroes, go for Dota2.
Or try Smite, it mixes both of these things and they even give you a bit of digital dollars for free at the end of each week in the form of gems just by login in for a minute each day (?).

stat has scaling dude... build is only for a counter-purpose used by carry and sometimes they go for farming/pushing build. for support, build purpose depends whether he should go for helping the team like healing or buffing and if he go offensive support build, he can go for slowing or giving debuff like reduce armor. support even bought item with str in order not to instantly die by nuke skill. there also overall stat depended hero like meepo, medusa, morph, etc which focus on item that gives them more stat. roamer usually have low lvl in order to help carry farming properly and tends to engage throughout the map to secure kill or hinder their opponent carry farming. i tend to play roamer now cause it is easy to secure win this way unless u got noob blamer in team asking why my lvl so low or trash item like expecting me to farm for late game item...so dumb
support role:map awareness, secure nc warding place, correctly detect unwanted enemy ward, help carry farm properly either by causing other lane to fail by gank(3vs 2 from 2v2 or 2v1 from 1v1 lane), have disable purpose skill like stun, hex or slow
carry role:properly last hit the creep, alert with enemies build to choose whether to focus on which item build, push when space is given, accurately make better judgement during a fight. when support came to gank he need to know the support intend whether he came to harass the enemy so he can farm or came to help him to secure kill without asking the support intention cuz time is crucial
the most crucial thing is...dont pick sniper if there is a heavily counter hero for sniper already picked by other team like pa or pudge aka food for them.
