It's very sad how most of Germany's old world since the allied air raids looks ugly and modern. These buildings shown were most obviously bombed and burned to the ground, then were rebuilt not looking anywhere as ornate with detail or anything like they were. Residenze Palace outside of Wurtzberg is still original.
