How to make a beautiful bouquet of flowers

Giving someone a lovely bouquet is the BEST! And knowing that it has been grown with care for the soil, no pesticides, no shipping, not plastic wrapping is even better!
This bouquet is a mixed lot of pale flowers, with dahlias as the main event, supported by grasses (esp my favourite, panicum ‘sparkling fountain’ ), statice, and valerian.
Bouquets and bunches need plenty of green, plenty of air and plenty of movement to look really good. When I see a miserable supermarket bunch, they remind me of a person in a corset, or having had Botox - unable to move or smile! Growing your own flowers for cutting enables you to be really generous, with a clean conscious (and a beautiful garden to boot). Give it a go!
