    Rambuttri alley is the good place to chill out and chat. Those trees make vibes more charming :)

    As a Thai, I used to hangout in this area since 90's, for 20 years and I prefer Rambootree road over Kaosan road, as you see it more stylish and better vibe

    a little bit further down the main road and to your left is a HUGE area that is worth checking out if you want just to chill and eat and hang out. There are also a lot of gust houses and smaller hotels there with fair prices.

      @@zanetravel If you walk through the next 2 alleys you will find Bang Lamphu Market(Day time), there is a famous old market with old food and shops that have been open for a long time, passed through many generations. Afford and delicious food.

    When I'm in bangkok, my travelling group doesnt really go bar hopping as much as before. I've never been to kaosan road before but ive only heard great things and more of the local thai people like to go there rather than going to Silom road.

    There is nothing wild about thanon Khao San....never was...40/50 dollars a night!
    Soi rambuttri(south side) or thanon Samsen.
    Apartments for monthly rent(good) for 10,000 baht(less than 400 dollars).

    Ivy League university vernacular;
    Toñnes/wild/crazy/awesome....
    Adjectives suck,right?
    Get over the scorpions - just deep fried protein.
    You eat lobster,right?
    Same same but different.

    This is why septics ruin travel for everyone.
    50 bucks a night, 50 bucks a night!
    Hope that included a happy ending.muppet
