Hello! Don't get me wrong. I'm not a US hater. I love the US and American cities. But right now American downtowns are not safe especially after dark. I was in Austin on June 12 and left just an hour before a mass shooting on Sixth Street took place that killed one man and injured 14 others. I could have been one of the victims!
America is a fantastic country but right now it got itself into a dangerous situation when every weekend you have hundreds of people getting robbed, shot at and even killed.
This is not the norm. And that's why Moscow felt so different after staying in the US for 2 months. Moscow and Russia have a lot of problems , too. No place is perfect. and I talk about them on this channel. Thanks !

That's why most Americans where I live in the Midwest leave the big cities the hell alone. I live 6 hours from Chicago but would not go there. Downtown Detroit has seen billions of dollars invested and is actually extremely safe and beautiful now. When we want a night out to get a taste of big city life and get out of the nice suburbs of Oakland County we go to downtown Detroit where there is a police presence everything is nice and clean and reasonably priced for the most part compared to most American large cities. Most American big cities are filled with ultra liberals at the helm and they have allowed the cities to become Shadows of what they used to be. It's sad. That's why you're seeing a large Exodus from many major American cities, The Exodus will only get worse before it gets better.

Unfortunately, the distribution of finances in Russia is very uneven, so cities in different parts of the country can look like different planets. If you're not tired of Russia yet, try taking a ferry to St. Petersburg, it's quick and inexpensive (just don't drink too much there, haha, some Finns will get my joke). Hang out there a little, the city is very beautiful, many consider it the most attractive in Russia. Then you can get from there to Moscow by high-speed train "Sapsan" in 4 hours. And from Moscow, by local trains, travel along the "golden ring" of Russia - the ancient medieval cities, where centuries-old kremlin and other buildings have survived. It will also come out extremely inexpensive. Then you will seriously feel the spirit of Russia.

My comment is not about political ideology but just about knowledge. However, the less people know, the easier it is for governments to fool them.

They were just living the great LA life, totally oblivious.
Only one young guy could answer a question about anything outside of the US. He had learned something about Canada in a course at school.
The young people lived only the internal life of their own spaces.

Thanks for you video about Moscow. I am an American born and raised in NYC, which is a slum compared to what you show of Moscow. NYC was dangerous growing up. I was mugged several times over the years even at knife point right on Park Avenue (East 90th Street). My father called the police, who did nothing to find the criminals. All the police could say to my father was, "be happy your son is still alive". That's the day my father, a German immigrant who escaped from East Germany, decided to get out of the City. NYC is still dangerous as the world could see in 2020 riots. It is still a filthy, smelly place that is crazy expensive! Everything is outrageously expensive...food, housing, transportation, entertainment...EVERYTHING! NYC is run by inept and corrupt political ideologue (Bill DeBlasio). Quite honestly, I do not understand why a Muscovite would want to live in NYC. I avoid NY and all American cities for safety reasons. Moscow and St Petersburg look fantastic to me. The streets are clean with no graffiti. The people are well dressed and care about how they look. There are no homeless. The infrastructure is not rotten and crumbling like in NYC. Thanks for your videos, they make me want to visit Russia and imagine living in Moscow and St Petersburg. I CANNOT imagine living in NYC or Philadelphia, or Boston, or D.C, or, or , or. Unfortunately the Western propaganda was and still is very strong in Russia. Lots of people have this image that everything that is good in Russia is just not good enough and in the west everything just has to be 100 times better. They believe that every American is super rich and there is just no such thing as corruption in the west, all politicians in the western countries do is just thinking on how to make lives of common people better and bla bla bla. This is pathetic, to be honest, that so many people in Russia are not able to appreciate the decency of life in Russia.
It has to do with the fact that we have undergone a horrible experience in the 90's when our country merely dodged a bullet of a total disintegration and a civil war, and many people still can't believe that now we are on a rise. This will change after a generation or two, but for now it is what it is. I work in a international sphere so I meet so many Russians returning back from their emigration experience with their eyes opened on how good Russia and Moscow in particular actually is, and I also meet lots of foreigners who come to stay in Moscow because of their job and all of them only have great experiences. Of course there is a whole bunch of things that are yet to be improved and a whole lot of challenges for Russia in this time in history, but we are actually doing great and we are on the way to a great future, this is what's obvious to me.

As someone who grew up in the big city of Philadelphia and lived there for 60 years of my life and now live in the south and in the country because I was fed up with that kind of city life that I saw, to see how beautiful and safe Moscow is is totally surprising from what we always hear. As someone who had a German mother and a Ukrainian father who both immigrated to the US, I was raised differently and still to this day feel different living here because we were raised similar to the way you were describing the people in Moscow. Having a Ukrainian dad who always talks bad about Russians and living in the US with all the propaganda, it gives me much pleasure to see how beautiful this city is and safe and the people also. One thing I noticed, I did not see people with tattoos all over their body which I find in this country has gotten out of hand and to me it’s very ugly and that’s not politically correct to say but I don’t really care because I was raised differently. My son grew up and is a father today and has two huge tattoos on his body which is just beyond my understanding. This video proves that there must be something going on right in the country. Even though I live in the country we are starting to see more and more homeless in our small towns. This is what happens in a country that gives out free money to everyone whereas when my parents immigrated here in the late 1940s they interviewed them and told them if they cannot afford to support themselves to get on the boat and turn around and go back to their countries. Many Russians immigrated to this country after communism left Russia and in Philadelphia we had huge supermarkets that we called Russian supermarkets. I would watch Russians as they brought food stamps given to them by this country to buy their food. We worked in this country and our pensions are low and they give out free money to people who just come here. My parents did not have that luxury so I was raised to work hard if I wanted to get ahead in life. I think the US knew what they were doing by giving out free money and people would become lazy and dependent on it. Very sad but I am learning that the Russian people are wonderful people. If my dad was still alive he’d be really mad at me for thinking that but that’s OK. The Russians that moved to this country probably were different because if I spoke English in those supermarkets they looked at me like I was not belonging there. I came there because the foods they had were the foods I grew up with. Your videos are quite entertaining and show us clearly that Russian people are safe. I loved the people in Germany too when I went to visit my relatives for the summer and I loved it there also because it was so different.People were very community minded and helped one another. I am finding in the country even where I live people are even more to themselves but still much nicer and Friendlier than the northern part of the US.

Moscow, Russia is a conservative Republican Americans apotheosis.
    1. Clean

    3. CommUNITY
From my experience in Russia, I was accepted like family. The Russkie affection I was spoiled with is only compared to my stay in southern Brazil.
The cultural ego mindset compared from NYer to a Moscowite is like comparing beer to vodka in the aspect where one is fizzy and trivial & takes a while to deliver a point while the other is sanguine & slams the point with sharp wit.

EXCELLENT! I am 88 yo Mexican-American, born poor in a desert mining town. I became a successful professional, retired comfortably in my own home. Being Mexican-American, I have a huge familia that includes many good people.
I admire Russians because we were allies during WW2 and learned they were great patriots, tough, cultured, and that they suffered horrible tragedies and came back strong. As a young man, I learned many things about Russians that impressed me very much.... 👏 in fields like the sciences, mathematics, literature, music, dance, and philosophy.
America is a great country too, but is in a steep decline due to the combined unintended consequences of politicians trying social engineer people. America has a huge problem with hedonism and immorality... Americans have destroyed the traditional "familia" that included love and decent , sane, cultured parenting within a supporting network of kin, neighbors, and professionals. The very things that I note Russians seem to have.
Americans, to me, are super stressed, hedonistic, materialistic, and emotionally superficial.... many Americans are educated but still "ignorant" about important things right under their noses. For about 60 years, Americans have raised children to be spoiled brats who remain this way until their 50s! Some never really grow up and die before their parents because of drugs, suicide, or stress-related medical conditions including obesity and heart attacks.
One big American problem is Blacks.... They have been brain washed and in many ways pampered to become "victims" of White racism. So, in part consequence, they are angry, hedonistic, childish, criminogenic, and do not have a sense of shame in public conduct. Some Blacks try to correct the negatives, but to little avail, because they are overwhelmed by their adult "children" who waste their material and human resources on hedonistic even criminal pursuits. Blacks are much overrepresented in prisons for all kinds of crimes. RUclips videos of Black neighborhoods and zones are available in quantity for anyone to see my negative allegations. Blacks even have their own language and distinct culture to separate themselves from mainstream Americans.
@Russians: America is in social and moral decline. Our politicians are reflective of this. The President and Vice President (for example) arranged with a combination 😈 evil agents to steal a Presidential Election! How horrible is that?
Russian, I know you too have problems, all nations do, but overall you seem healthier, happier, more civilized , less spoiled, more law abiding, healthier, and educated than we Americans. Finally, I hope you avoid going the ways America has in the last 60 years.
    PAZ, amigos 💘😻💜💛

A different take is that Russia's cities are normal, whereas American cities are not! It's not just Russia where it is safe to walk the streets. You can do the same in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, etc.

Yes there are some bad neighborhoods in the bigger cities in America but the 99.9% of the rest of the country is as safe as anywhere in the world. Some would say it has been done this way on purpose. Ghettoization.

It is funny to think why here in my country, if young women clad up attractively go out for a walk at night, they are in danger of being harassed or raped. Have to say we are living in scandinavian social state that is so much advertised and praised (remember Bernie Sanders and his thoughts about scandinavia) but there still is something very wrong.

@@RandomDudeOne absolutely false. America is unsafe almost everywhere and i am not an outsider, i know from experience. Without sounding obvious, the US demographics directly tells you why. Russia has low diversity and that is NOT a crime. Look at Japanese no crime and again no diversity. What if the diversity becomes more than 3/4 of the population, look at South Africa one of the most dangerous country on earth. What if the whole country is 'diversity' only, travel to haiiti, write your will first. Ever wondered why Brazil was never able to raise above crime and poverty ? demographics.

@@DanielMcGuire I'm sure it is, diversity prefers to move to larger cities, when your city is on the map, expect diversity to start to move in, and problems to start.

That's good when people learn something about our country from such videos, not only from the news.
