- This week we are visiting Madrid!
I hope you like this new episode about the CaixaForum building by Herzog & deMeuron, the video is easy to follow and explanatory.
It´s a very interesting project for us architects, and it really has a lot to cover and a very fresh approach to the concept of reusing an existing building. I love the materials, and how they all work together, but my favorite concept would have to be the structure.

Thank you!
My favorite concept of the building is how the structure works to create a floating building! What´s yours? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for ur video!! I am student of archi and studying for Caixa forum recently. Ur video helped me to walk through there while I am sitting on my chair front of monitor. Thanks again!
Awesome video!! About Herzog & de Meuron I like the way that they keep the brick for the context, they do not lose the context, that's important.
I agree! Thats one of the main concepts of the building, and very well translated in this case!
I've been following your work for some time now. It's awesome! You create very attractive videos but never miss the point: it's architecture that's important; the video is just a means to transmit the idea. About this particular work by Herzog & De Meuron, the contrast between the massive brick walls and the sense of lightness given by that sensation of a floating building is pure genius.
My word you put a lot of effort into these vids, I love them! The facade reminds me of Peter Zumthor's museum. I love the surreal quality of floating the building but wonder about the covered plaza, it seems more claustrophobic and heavy than contemplative and slow, I'm not sure what it felt like in person.
Love your work, man! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful tour into this building and showing us the design concept. ❤
Thanks a lot Mingming Xia!
Very good and informative video. I was never there but feel the atmosphere ! It is interesting to see that this work is of the same handwriting of the studio as the Tate Modern extension or the Hamburg concert hall.
There is some language shared, for sure! You can also see points in common with the Young museum or the Philarmonie, yes. Good projects all of them!
Thanks! ♡♡♡♡
Good!
The 3D model link is unavailible now. Could you share it again? It'd be so much help for my school work. Thank you!!
Hey there! I loved this! awesome video. I cant seem to be able to download the 3D Model tho, is there any chance I can get it?
Hi Geraldine, sure! :) It´s a dwg 3D File, you might have to adapt it a bit depending on what software you work with.

Hello, could please you tell me what is the name of the background music?
You mean the one for the intro? - That'd be Rapier by Lovren.
@@FourthWallArchitecture No, I mean the BGM at about 2:30.

зачем делать изначально заложенные окна, че за карго культ
It is 4k but this vido could've been much better if it didn't have this music and short animations
