Animation in new jjk episode was 10/10. Because of Japanese law they can't air their episodes without dimming and ghosting. That's why some sequence were dull and dimmed. You can see the full efforts of animators in Blu-ray print.

Bro season 1 animation is also fluid ( example: Hanami and todo +yuji) but they literally changed the art style which several affected the animators .. So as of now many animators might leave Studio mappa after season 2 of JJK.
This jjk episode had greatest action animators from whole japan and how can you say animation is bad. Yeah artstyle is different but its a type of animation called kagenishi meaning shadowless. It is used when you need more movement and dynamic shots. Look at the episode and just see the fluidity and dynamicness of the fights. If you look at animation experts they all called this best jjk animation. So just watch the episode and tell me another episode with this much dynamic shots and crazy angles.

And look at first five episodes of season 2 and look at visual storytelling I mean even episode 5 didn't had any fight but visual direction and symbolism surpasses anything from season 1. Choso vs yuji was more polished and more aesthetic pleasing than anything in season 1. Look at those bad background and digital effects sucked ass in season 1.
