The Duel is the first season I watched in 2006 and it has been an honor and privilege to have watched their journey together throughout the years. I definitely believe she is his guardian angel.
You could see how much DIEMS presence in CTs life really softened him. He became WAYYY more reliable and calm, knowing that she trusted him and loved him. He wasn’t perfect but he spent all the time he could making her feel beautiful in the midst of such a traumatic situation, like cancer.
CT is the tough guy, he never flinches, always is on top of his game... She died in 2014, and now in 2022, he looks defeated bringing her up, I just... I can never imagine having to carry something like that with you for the rest of your life.
Wes has always been this romantic good guy with the girls he liked (other than his Real World days), so I feel he saw something in CT Diem didn't. He was protective over her bc he knew she was a real sweetheart and CT was the opposite, but he did see the change in him years later. I'm glad they squashed their crap and became good friends.

Made me tear up to watch him help her get her confidence back in the duel. She was so ashamed at not having her long hair and he made her feel like it didn't matter.

Just imagine how much pain CT was going through when his brother was killed & then having to deal with the relationship with Diem & her passing also. Everyone thought CT was just a psycho but he was dealing with a lot through those seasons.

Ppl lash out when they’re dealing with things they don’t know how to manage emotionally. It happens to most of us only few ppl are strong enough to not let emotional distress negatively impact their relationships. Ppl have a headache and want to set the whole world on fire. I always try to consider the unknowns they someone may be dealing with. We’re all just trying to be “ normal “ through all the ups and downs of life. I also imagine how hard it had to be for Diem to show up and put on a smile with what she was facing. Diem & CT were easily the most memorable ppl to me because of their unique relationship. CT was still a loose cannon at the time and she definitely brought out a different side of him. I never lost a partner but I know what it’s like to lose a loved one and carry that pain that will always remain. My advice to everyone is to try to be on good terms with your loved ones. You never know when your time is up and it’s going to be so much harder if you didn’t try to preserve that relationship. You don’t get anymore chances.
It is quite moving and telling that CT is still so affected by Diem's death. I sometimes wonder if Diem has lived if they would have married has children and finally been able to make it work.

Diem and CT were literally meant for eachother! 🥺 Even through the rough spots, they were beautiful together. Diem had a big hand in shaping CT into the man he is today. 🖤
If you've never watched The Duel..... you just cannot know how much CT loved Diem and what he did for her. She beat freaking cancer but she was still sooooo scared to be seen without her wig coming onto the season - at that point only 3 people had ever seen her without it. CT made it his mission to convince Diem she was beautiful without the wig - that's why he wanted her to take if off for their first kiss. It would have been beautiful to see any relationship start with the amount of respect and admiration CT showed her, it was just so much more shocking to see Diem bring that out of someone like CT. They had some pretty low lows too, but what they shared was just so beautiful.
There relationship will always be iconic, CT loved diem. He always protected her and always looked out for her best interest Rip DIEM BROWN a beautiful soul and challenger, it’s so sad how full of life she has, she is the true strength and heart of the challenge and how much we all love this show. her legacy will carry on forever.

They loved too hard at the wrong time. And they continued to hurt each other and it was hard to watch. Especially CT’s dark time where he got kicked out twice for physical fights. And she wasn’t there for him when his brother was murdered and they both were trying to find each other again after a long time. She was gone too soon and I watched invasions, where CT remembered diem on her anniversary and I cried for a good hour. She definitely had a hand in him winning that challenge, that season. Man, what an example that the people you love are always gone too soon. But I guarantee, that the both of them are grateful that they met each other and loved each other, because it’s definitely better than none of that happening at all. Cherish those you love, people!!
How do you know this information? CT should have taken a break after his brother was murdered. Diem, wasn't there for CT at his darkest moment when he always showed up for her. I believe they would have got it together. RIP Diem

I remember watching CT and Diem and I just knew. There were connected for life. There was no need to explain or question it. The love existed until the very end.
CT is one of those guys who softens up when he knows the love of his life is there. She brought a softer side of him, which gives him more of a life. There was a look of dread when the interviewer asked about Diem. Which is a clear sign he will never be over her passing. Yes, they did go through hard battles. But they always made up and still had the bond that everyone aspires to have. They truly are each others soulmates, They are the textbook definition of soulmates taken away too soon.
I was not excepted to see CT and seeing him in the in the end made me feel so sad because even after all those years, without even said anything we can feel that his pain never leave him 💔 He became a better man for her but she isn't there anymore and that so sad they deserve so much more 🙏🏻

We all may or may not have heard of the term lightning in a bottle. CT and Diem are that. I feel like I grew through watching them grow. I’ve never really wanted to be any reality TV peoples friend. But, I wish I was a friend of them. Thank you CT for the amazing respect and heart you have for Diem.

It doesn't matter how many years pass, this loss hits hard. As I'm home going through chemo for breast cancer, I rewatched all the old seasons. Their love is really the best love story I've ever seen play out. It's sad that it ended too soon.
This and Knight was the most heart breaking TV I've watched in forever, so crazy forgetting that these people are human just growing up in front of us while some of us were/are doing the exact thing but the difference is our mistakes and faults aren't on the internet forever with a bunch of haters 😮💨

Reality TV has a way of making you question everything that you see happen on screen. But, for all the stuff that seemed fake or staged, this was real. We really got to see two people fall completely in love with each other. We got to watch their journey from beginning to end. We smiled when they got together, we cried when they broke up, and we genuinely fell in love with the two of them almost as much as they fell for each other. It’s been almost a decade since Diem left this world, and you can see clear as day in this video that CT, despite the fact that he is genuinely happy and content in life now, still aches for her every day. They truly were soulmates from the moment they met, and even if they couldn’t be together like we all hope they would, it is abundantly clear that they changed each other’s lives forever. RIP Diem, you beautiful soul ❤

She was gone too soon and I watched invasions, where CT remembered diem on her anniversary and I cried for a good hour. She definitely had a hand in him winning that challenge, that season. Man, what an example that the people you love are always gone too soon. But I guarantee, that the both of them are grateful that they met each other and loved each other, because it’s definitely better than none of that happening at all. Cherish those you love, people!!
How do you know this information? CT should have taken a break after his brother was murdered. Diem, wasn't there for CT at his darkest moment when he always showed up for her. I believe they would have got it together. RIP Diem

It’s REALLY hard to watch CT have to talk about Diem. It’s VERY clear the role he played in her life, and I think the LOVE he had for her may not ever be replicated, BUT, o hope he finds comfort in knowing she loved him back. ♥️♥️

CT is one of those guys who softens up when he knows the love of his life is there. She brought a softer side of him, which gives him more of a life. There was a look of dread when the interviewer asked about Diem. Which is a clear sign he will never be over her passing. Yes, they did go through hard battles. But they always made up and still had the bond that everyone aspires to have. They truly are each others soulmates, They are the textbook definition of soulmates taken away too soon.
I was not excepted to see CT and seeing him in the in the end made me feel so sad because even after all those years, without even said anything we can feel that his pain never leave him 💔 He became a better man for her but she isn't there anymore and that so sad they deserve so much more 🙏🏻

I’ve been watching the Challenge for yeeeaarrrrssss. Even watched the Real World Seasons. I’ll never forget Demi!! She was an amazing a beautiful fighter!!!
I remember watching this and following her on social media. Losing Diem gutted me. I have never been so attached to someone I didn't know.
Jemmye was totally correct, we all just wanted to see them both together. Wish they met when he was older.
We all may or may not have heard of the term lightning in a bottle. CT and Diem are that. I feel like I grew through watching them grow. I’ve never really wanted to be any reality TV peoples friend. But, I wish I was a friend of them. Thank you CT for the amazing respect and heart you have for Diem.

It doesn't matter how many years pass, this loss hits hard. As I'm home going through chemo for breast cancer, I rewatched all the old seasons. Their love is really the best love story I've ever seen play out. It's sad that it ended too soon.

Reality TV has a way of making you question everything that you see happen on screen. But, for all the stuff that seemed fake or staged, this was real. We really got to see two people fall completely in love with each other. We got to watch their journey from beginning to end. We smiled when they got together, we cried when they broke up, and we genuinely fell in love with the two of them almost as much as they fell for each other. It’s been almost a decade since Diem left this world, and you can see clear as day in this video that CT, despite the fact that he is genuinely happy and content in life now, still aches for her every day. They truly were soulmates from the moment they met, and even if they couldn’t be together like we all hope they would, it is abundantly clear that they changed each other’s lives forever. RIP Diem, you beautiful soul ❤
