    Thanks for the review; I've been using the Dunlop one for at least 2 years and it still has liquid. I even bought a spare one last year but haven't used it lol. I was wondering if I was missing a better one out, but it seems I might be using it for a few more years. As you said, you do feel a before-after difference, and I believe that's because it actually removes the dirt from the strings. What I do to ensure it works best is to gently press it against a microfiber cloth, wrap it around each string then rub with some pressure. It might detune your guitar a bit, but then again, you have to take your time for a proper cleaning. Please keep us posted if you find a better one, as there aren't many options where I live, but I can always get them shipped.

    The reason you feel a difference with the Dunlop is because it's putting more of it on than the others because it's got a constant refill.

    Hey man great video! Just wanted to let you in something you might want to try, I’ve been using finger ease since for 22 years, lol i’m old!, so the way that me and everyone that uses this, is to go with a light spray on strings, spraying the fretboard too and another light spray on the back of the neck. This does not damage maple necks or rosewood necks, not one bit.. but it will surly give you that fast, slick feeling when you slide through strings. I’ve gone as far as lightly spraying my pickups due to laziness and i’ve had no problems neither. Not advocating yo do so just saying, is a pretty safe product for essentially any guitar.

    One of my favorites is Dr. Ducks Axe Wax. It can be messy the first time you try it buy once you get it down, it's amazing. I will actually wipe my brand new strings with it on a rag before I string and its like it puts a protective coat on it for the whole life of the string and never corroded. Obviously still wiped it down though after playing like any of the others

    The GHS Fast Fret DOES come with a cloth, you must have lost it. Though to be honest, it's a pretty shitty cloth that disintegrates gradually and leaves tons of lint.

    Dunlop for me. I use both their string cleaner and lemon oil. Lasts forever. Every other product is either too expensive and/or dries out.

    The xlr8 runs out after 8 uses. I've tested multiple containers. Use fast fret.

    Can you test nut lubricant? Music nomad tune it, D'Addario lubrikit, Jim dunlop, big bends. You don't have to but I kinda want to know what lasts/works better..

      I do use the music nomad stuff . It works fine . However, I’ve found that pencil lead actually works the best for me and lasts the longest .

    Which one gives the slickest feel?

    • @HeadbangersLocal
      @HeadbangersLocal  Год назад +1

      Mostly the same . I would say value wise either the Dunlop or the music nomad music nomads nice and quick, and holds a lot. The Dunlop one is one string at a time either way.

    I wanted to know two things, neither of which were addressed.
    Which one was best at reducing string squeak?
    Which one was the best lubricant?

    • @HeadbangersLocal
      @HeadbangersLocal  2 года назад

      Good point . I should have addressed those things . Well, none of them got rid of squeak that I noticed . I would say that the music nomad one was the best overall.

      @@HeadbangersLocal I bought the Music Nomad and Finger Ease.
      I’ve used Finger Ease for a while. The Music Nomad was also recommended by the folks at Sweetwater.

    All these applicators are the same texture. There's nothing SPONGY about them at all. Its more cloth feeling than anything.

    Why do you need to apply these products on the strings past the fretboard, kinda seems pointless to me?
