  • On 22 October 2022, we presented Group Theory:Black Music the latest contribution from drummer Tumi Mogorosi, as part of our Liberation Radio series. It continued the exploration into South Africa’s longstanding chorale tradition from Mogorosi’s debut album Project Elo. Mogorosi was joined by vocalist Themba Maseko, who directed the voices of Busisiwe Phetoe, Forunate Jwara and Brenda Thulo, as well as Gabisile Motuba (vocals), Reza Khota (guitar), Dalisu Ndlazi (bass), Mthunzi Mvubu (alto sax) and Tumi Pheko (trumpet). With special features by Ernest Dawkins (sax) and Siyabonga Mthembu (vocals)
