Dancing. Like ACTUALLY imagine that. She must have felt so sick to her stomach and then couldn’t take it involuntarily. Holding in your pee that long full bladder hurts. The lawsuit complaints line up with behavior displayed on her reality show.
    There was one girl who was uncomfortable exposing herself during the nude photoshoot. She wanted to teach in South Korea and thought the photos would prevent her from acheiving her dream.
    The photoshoot was framed as a body positivity challenge. She was worried about going against it because that's Lizzo's brand. Everyone pressured her. When she gave in, the producers framed it as a triumphant "she loves her body enough to show it!" moment.
    She was elimimated right before the finale.

    Apparently, it's extremely common for dancers to have their "dedication" to their craft questioned just because they gained weight. The fact that Lizzo had publicly commented on her weight gain right before making those comments, which is apparently dancer code for "you've gained weight," certainly isn't a good look. And they're also probably holding back on some details to avoid giving the defense extra time to prepare prior to discovery.

    • @sarabear7828
      @sarabear7828 Год назад +1

      That’s not how discovery works. The prosecution and defense have to share all information with each other to prepare, there are no surprises

    • @bad_bau
      @bad_bau Год назад

      @@sarabear7828 Yea, I know. Nothing in my comment implied otherwise. This video was discussing the initial complaint, which is the filing that officially starts the lawsuit. Once an initial complaint is made, then the defense has to respond to the initial complaint by either answering the complaint or filing a counter-claim. Discovery only starts AFTER the defense has responded. However, the initial complaint does not have to have everything, which is why lawyers often hold some things back until the discovery phase starts (which it hadn't at the point I made my comment). Again, neither side has to start sharing everything yet. If they started sharing everything now, they'd just be giving the other side more time to prepare, which could jeopardize their case. My comment was about the fact that the video was only discussing the initial complaint, which is not required to have everything, so there might be more details that we won't learn UNTIL discovery. Which is why I specifically said "prior to discovery," instead of during or after discovery (prior = before). Hope this helps.

    Usually I find their videos great but this one was really hard to watch. I just KNOW that if Ethan was in a similar situation to the dancer’s and soiled himself, he would not be finding it funny at all. And yet, he’s laughing multiple times and focussing on that aspect for half the episode, making fun of her embarrassment, rather than discussing the very serious allegations against Lizzo and her dance leader. It felt very “school bully” to me when they all snickered about the poor dancer who was probably exhausted and scared.

    I'm a former competitive dancer and do think the statement about being committed could've easily been about her weight gain. If you gain weight while being a dancer it's generally frowned upon and seen as being lazy, not working hard enough, not practicing often, etc. Plus size dancers can be just as talented, but are still usually seen as less talented, fit, or dedicated than thin dancers. *ETA: Of course it isn't true that plus size dancers aren't working as hard, it's just a common toxic stigma in the dance world.

    Nude Cabaret is fine when you tell people what they’re showing up to. The allegation is that the hid the nature of the event and people only realized when they arrived. Seems like a lot of sexual deviance surrounding her. Given the movement I’m not surprised.
