Health, family, duty - the only words that matter Chris. Your approach to modelling remains an inspiration for me and 2025 will be an in-flight year for me.
regardless of the level of pleasure, modelling is a hobby , even if it does earn some coin. As a 24/7/52 carer I know how important hobbies are but how little time you get for them (2024 I managed 1 uboat and a third of a Dr1 triplane). The needs of your own health, the needs of who you're carer for, the day to day chores are far more important than gluing plastic together, yes you need down time ( 10 mins to glue something or half an hour painting) to stop exhaustion burn out, but it doesnt leave much time for filming and editing. take your time away, get sorted, and maybe come back when you feel you can. i will stay subscribed. from one under paid , unrecognised and often heavily worked ( but we knew this when we took it on, and family is family) carer to another, Good luck, good health andlook forward to seeing you again.
Thanks you for the years of fun videos on scale modeling! We are glad to hear that you are back to tip top shape (healthwise). It is heartening to hear that you are taking time off to focus on family - and we wish you all the best on your new challenges and endeavours. In the meantime, I’ll be keeping an eye out on any new videos - regardless of the release tempo. Cheers, mate!
Good luck, and keep model-making. I have kept my model-making in the background and never got into the digital printing side of things. It was a bridge too far financially for me. I can handle just the kits, paints, and a bit of scratch-building.
Family and health first Chris. Just take care of what matters to you and your world. Fingers crossed you will have time to get into the hobby and then one day when or if you are ready it would be great to see you back on the tube… Happy New Year Chris to you and your family. Take care and wheels up..!! 👍
Cheers for the vid Chris. Hope everything goes well and look forward to seeing you back here. Now I have to rely on Harry's cheap double entendres for entertainment.🙂 Am building Thunderbird 1 at the moment, in flight because it just has to be that way. (Rod up the rear!) Thanks. Matt. (I would like to get to the Canberra show as well. My kids really enjoyed going to the ACT. And I need to go back to the War Memorial as I missed bits last time).
It was great meeting you (twice and very briefly you probably won’t remember) this year Chris. All the best for the new year mate. Stay safe hopefully will see you at PX and QHME. We will stick around for you. Hope everything goes your way and you have a great time OS on your holiday. Cheers Craig
Thanks for that Chris, I appreciate your outlook and hope the coming year brings all the best for you. Family, health and personal priorities are all the important things to focus on. Funny, I find this as I'm scripting up my EOY'24 and have run through similar changes. Take care of you, bud, and may 2025 be awesome for you.
Thank you for all you’ve done over the years. Health and Family are most important. Hope you get your 3D pilots line up. Might see you at QMHE next year. Bless.
You need to do what's best for you and your family. I think a lot of people are making changes, myself included. To be honest, yt is just becoming a never-ending chore. Hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you the best in the New Year. J
Hi Chris. Sounds like you're doing what you need to do mate. Take care, All the best and look forward to seeing you get some planes in the air at some point. Happy New year. Cheers
Geeez, mate, you're going to be missed. But your health and well-being is paramount. Adlibbing the next 12 months should be interesting and challenging for you. See ya when we see ya.😂
Hi Chris, I think life can be very hard at times, with what we humans must deal with, one of the important thing we must put first is our health, as others have said I look forwards to seeing you back soon, have a safe and Happy New Year, hope 2025 is all you wish for, best regards from a Kiwi living in Melbourne, Les
Gday Chris, belated holiday greetings to you and family. Your looking good, if you ever want to get that weight back give me a shout I've got plenty to spare. Ironically for various insundry reasons my building as been way off but as you mentioned my acquisitions have also increased my stash substantially. The Black Friday sales were highly addictive this year and surprisingly some of my best buys were three *AIRFUX" kits. I've actually sinned a bit like using rattle cans for painting I'm still an advocate of wheels up as well but each model requires a different approach. If Penny gets into trouble you can always send her to the Pacific Northwest . Always great to see your videos and ideas and builds..Wishing you success on your 2025 journey Cheers Bob.
Great to here you’re on track for a healthy and focused 2025, I will definitely miss your modelling chats and updates as they have inspired me to experiment with inflight modelling. As I always say, family and health come first! I wish you a very Happy, Health and Prosperous 2025, all the best mate😁👍
2024 was a year of family challenges. One of them being the rapid loss of my brother in law's mental abilities from dementia within six months. He had to be put in a constant care home last week. I continue to post monthly reveal videos on my channel. Lately, more slideshows. Improving on video editing. Latest is a slideshow of a 1/35 inflight, Elco 80 PT boat. 2025 will have some of what I am working on built inflight. Four of five 1/32 Tamiya F-4J kits converted into E and EJs. Two of three 1/32 Tamiya F-16s 1/32 A-6A Intruder, P-38, Su-27UB 1/24 P-47 Bubbletop, Mk.IXc 1/24 A6M 2b Zero 1/32 F-35A So far returning to the hobby/creating videos has been enjoyable and I do not take it too seriously as it would diminish the enjoyment. I don't really comment much but yes...this. I don't have all the stuff going on as you (and best wishes for your health and family) but I just need to step back on YT and videos and everything. It's just too much of a chore and I have things I need to focus on in life (including health). Best of luck to ya
