About the mountain of clothes, there are many meanings. As many people have said, the song is a tribute to the Sewol Ferry Accident (2014), where many school students died on a field trip, due to the captain telling them to stay put and then fleeing. The lyrics are basically from the point of a survivor who is waiting for a time (Spring) when they can be free from the guilt and pain of missing their friends who died instead of them. The mountain of clothes represents the people who have left the world, but their belongings still remain. Many of the clothes and belongings of the students who died have been recovered and returned to parents, who then started a project where they photographed the empty bedrooms of the students who passed away. The clothes can also represent a soul being taken by God. You can see how BTS in sitting in the pile of clothes among the clouds. Overall the incident was truly a tragedy. Students called their parents and filmed videos saying goodbye, and if the captain had told them to escape themselves, many of them would still be alive. However this was not the case, and when a case was filed it was later dismissed. The case was later reopened and the captain was sent to a lifetime sentence in Prison. I deeply wish my sympathies for all victims of the Sewol Ferry Incident, and may you all rest in peace 😔. PS: I love your videos! Please do more boy group reactions 💜!

The memories of the past will always be there, and we can shase them forever and end up in a hopeless cycle - like the washing machine that is featured - if we choose. The scene with Suga where he is on the top of all the clothes: You see that Suga has literally a mountain of laundry and memories that he rests atop of while he tries to sort out all the change in his life, trying not to be resentful of the person who left him. You can see that each scene has their different meanings and that's just Suga's scene. Each member has his own message. The mountain of clothing is a direct reference to an art exhibit in Korea and, as such, represents the souls of those who have died. There are *two* really good explanation/theory videos about this song, so don't let people tell you this MV is *only* about the Sewol Ferry disaster. BTS has always been multi-layered in their meanings, and there are elements of theory #1 that I personally think are wrong. That said, the song itself is about the pain of loss, and that could be loss due to death or due to distance. Suga's inspiration for the lyrics had to do with missing old friends. The lyrics walk us through the grief process (anger, acceptance, etc), and I feel like by insisting that it is only about the ferry incident (which some fans do) we limit the accessibility of this song for all the people struggling with grief for other reasons.

This song is about the an incident that happened in Seoul a few years back and many things in the mv represented the young people that passed away in the incident, so it’s a very touching song to many people. We also see it as how when it’s winter it’s very cold and ofc you could associate it with struggles in life and battles we have to get through to succeed or be happy, so basically it’s like bts’ struggles before success hit them. Spring Day is longing for that spring day to arrive, longing for happiness and the struggles to pass just like waiting for the cold winter to end. In stay gold it shows how the boys have reached the spring day as we see that the tree is beautiful and the cherry blossoms have grown bc spring finally arrived, this meaning ofc that the boys feel like they have succeeded their dreams and they aren’t alone in the struggles bc they have armys and also each other. I find this song so beautiful bc of this whole message and the way they portrayed the message in the song.

Spring Day is one of my favourite BTS songs! And honestly its actually one of the best songs in Kpop history. Its a masterpiece! The first time I heard it I started crying and cry cry everytime I hear this song. Its dedicated to a very tragic event and pains to many people who lost their loved ones that day. Even if you haven't lost your love ones in that event but even just listening to this song remembering your loved ones that you can never see again it hits hard! Spring Day will always be THAT song and will always remain the Queen!!!!

About the mountain of clothes, there are many meanings. As many people have said, the song is a tribute to the Sewol Ferry Accident (2014), where many school students died on a field trip, due to the captain telling them to stay put and then fleeing. The lyrics are basically from the point of a survivor who is waiting for a time (Spring) when they can be free from the guilt and pain of missing their friends who died instead of them. The mountain of clothes represents the people who have left the world, but their belongings still remain. Many of the clothes and belongings of the students who died have been recovered and returned to parents, who then started a project where they photographed the empty bedrooms of the students who passed away. The clothes can also represent a soul being taken by God. You can see how BTS in sitting in the pile of clothes among the clouds. Overall the incident was truly a tragedy. Students called their parents and filmed videos saying goodbye, and if the captain had told them to escape themselves, many of them would still be alive. However this was not the case, and when a case was filed it was later dismissed. The case was later reopened and the captain was sent to a lifetime sentence in Prison. I deeply wish my sympathies for all victims of the Sewol Ferry Incident, and may you all rest in peace 😔. PS: I love your videos! Please do more boy group reactions 💜!

Spring Day is all about loss, about missing someone, about clinging to youth. But most importantly, its about carrying on. The memories of the past will always be there, and we can shase them forever and end up in a hopeless cycle - like the washing machine that is featured - if we choose.

You see that Suga has literally a mountain of laundry and memories that he rests atop of while he tries to sort out all the change in his life, trying not to be resentful of the person who left him.

The mountain of clothing is a direct reference to an art exhibit in Korea and, as such, represents the souls of those who have died.
There are *two* really good explanation/theory videos about this song, so don't let people tell you this MV is *only* about the Sewol Ferry disaster. BTS has always been multi-layered in their meanings, and there are elements of theory #1 that I personally think are wrong.
That said, the song itself is about the pain of loss, and that could be loss due to death or due to distance. Suga's inspiration for the lyrics had to do with missing old friends. The lyrics walk us through the grief process (anger, acceptance, etc), and I feel like by insisting that it is only about the ferry incident (which some fans do) we limit the accessibility of this song for all the people struggling with grief for other reasons.
