  • On July 18th, 2024, the Chemical Propulsion Laboratory (CPL) facilitated a static fire test for the Capital Rocket Team's BOSCOV rocket engine. This test represents a critical milestone in the development of the BOSCOV rocket, validating the performance and safety of the propulsion system prior to launch.
The static fire test was conducted with the BOSCOV engine securely mounted on a horizontal test stand. Upon ignition, comprehensive performance data, including chamber pressure and thrust, was collected using CPL's integrated sensor array. This data will be analyzed to evaluate engine performance and identify any areas requiring further optimization.
This test holds particular significance as it addresses previous challenges encountered during a May 2023 test. The successful completion of this static fire test demonstrates the team's effective problem-solving and engineering capabilities.
The CPL remains committed to fostering advancements in rocket propulsion technology and supporting student-led initiatives of the Capital Rocket Team's BOSCOV project.

I'm in Vietnam, can you tell me if I have to create a separate file to input the chemical reaction equations into the Ansys Fluent simulation? I hope you can make a video tutorial.

Hello. If you want to use a classical combustion model, you can activate an existing reaction mechanism compatible with Ansys Fluent, such as Gri-Mech 3.0. However, if you would like to implement your own reaction model, you should refer to the manuals for Ansys Chemkin. This is a very specific topic of chemistry simulation, and it is unlikely that I will make a video tutorial about it.
