You’re thinking of turn-based RPG’s, like old school Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, or any other JRPG from the 90’s that millions of people grew up playing and enjoy. What you’re describing is an action-RPG, like Secret of Mana, Illusions of Gaia, or more modern Final Fantasy games like FF15 and 16. Both are fun.

Baldurs gate 1 and 2 have mobile ports. The games are very dated now and I doubt the controls are great but they're considered to be some great rpgs
