I wish Def Leppard would release a Classic Albums DVD for (the making of) Pyromania! In my opinion, a number people say that "Hysteria" is a more "mature" or their BEST effort, BUT, PYROMANIA is the one that "broke" or "elevated" the band worldwide!
I like High N' Dry better. And Adrenalize after that. Pyromania had some really great songs on it but I think the drums take too much space. The big "thundering" sound works for a couple of songs but it gets a bit annoying after a while.
I wondered what that was when I first heard it. I at first thought it was, "Oh, love was blind, something something blah blah blah steady". It sort of sounds like it from a distance. Mutt and Leppard could certainly fool people with the middle bit on "Rocket", couldn't they?
Oh yeah, that's right! What I find ironic is that an English rock/metal records what THEY hope will "stir up MORE than a hornet's nest," ONLY to have it "backfire" on them, so-to-speak. In other words, pardon the expression here, by the way, Pyromania "falls on 'de(a)f'' ears" in their hometown, but sets the U.S. ablaze.
Sadly AngelofAnguish, that album didn't break Leppard in their native U.K. It broke them in America though. Hysteria was their first hit album in Britain.
I enjoyed watching this! Thanks for sharing Hysteria 1-4!!

Joe Elliot. He looks like a Dad. He just has that Best Dad Vibe.

I love Joe Elliot's voice..
@Diquetraysay It's "We're fighting for the Gods of War" backwards. You can take it and reverse it yourself.
THEY STILL HOLD TODAY 2025 !!
Mutt Lang is by far the best producer ever!
Anyway a rely grate album
Yep. My fav is definitely Pyromania
It wasn't bleeped on the U.S. broadcast, thank goodness. It's a much less offensive word to Americans than the Brits.
What is up with that Moses-lookin' dude? Love it
yeah, "devils music" cracked me up!
Peter Mensch looks like Dr. Evil.
