Some nice art there but not sure it grabs me enough to make me grab that Absolute. A good overview though, as always! I almost didn't comment on this video (wouldn't that be a tragedy!), but... well, for some reason Mort Cinder keeps catching my eye on your shelves 😂
@@OffMyShelves Anything for the algorithm 😂👍 (Just received Encyclopedia of Early Earth and Lovelace & Babbage, and grabbed The Hard Switch from an independent comic store!)
I dont think I’ve ever read a Wonder Woman story. One of those characters that wasnt available in my small home town when I still read Marvel/DC. You mentioned Greg Ruckas run. I like his writing outside superheroes so that could be a good place to dip in. Having said all that I was really surprised how detailed art was in this book! Some of the more recent Big2 art I’ve seen looks more rushed and empty. It’s a good reminder of the variety within superhero stories.
There is a baffling range of variety in superhero stories, which is great but also part of the problem as finding something that resonates with you is hard because there so much over so many years. With Wonder Woman, like all superhero books I would typically follow the creators; if Greg Rucka had peaks the interest then start there. So you certainly have the right approach in following creators rather than characters!
@@OffMyShelves haha calling me out in the comments. The answer to that is of course, no! I have read the gods and mortals story though. Digitally. Which persuaded me to buy the Omni lol the art is superb
Geoge Perez Wonder Woman is awesome I own the Omnibus and love the classic story telling.
Do you own all the omnibus volumes? There’s a few if I remembered rightly. Glad you love it btw!

It would indeed be a tragedy! You are single handedly keep my algorithm going! We will get to Mort Cinder at some point I’m sure!

I thoroughly enjoyed god's and mortals. Got the Omni myself. I need more absolute editions. My collection is lacking in that area.
Have you read the omnibus though??? Everyone needs more absolutes in their lives!
