Why does the album: ‘Relapse’ (2009) by Eminem get so much hate? I love the darker horror theme to it, pure Slim Shady, it’s brutally beautiful. His accents don’t really bother me, they just signify that’s it’s Slim Shady on that specific track, and Eminem voice was changing at that point so he used some of those accents to recreate his old Slim Shady voice from: ‘The Slim Shady and Marshal Mathers LP album. I love the psychotic, mentally detached, almost unfunny, borderline creepy, brutally uncaring Shady 2.0. The tracks: ‘Medicine Ball,’ ‘Bagpipes From Baghdad,’ ‘We Made You,’ and ‘My Mom' are definitely corny ass songs. But the rest of the album is this perfect mixture of emotionally numb, unpredictable, blood thirsty, psychotic, medication addicted, warped sense of reality, style of ‘horror-core.’ Calm but deadly, Emotions ripped out. Brutally hollow.
Relapse is a love or hate relationship with fans. I personally am a fan of I love it. Some people hate the accents and risks it takes. Then there’s the “relapse cult followers” as I call them lol. It’s a great album. People who don’t like it gotta re-listen for sure.
I personally didn’t like most of the songs and feel it was very bloated, I actually like some of the accents but forever was easily the best song to come out of it for me 😊

Bagpipes from Baghdad (i really can't put this song much higher than this, even though it's got good lyrics and is an above average diss, it's just not enough) 10. 3 a.m. (pretty much same as bags from baghdad, good lyrics, beat and rhyme schemes, but there's definitely better) 9. Insane (i like the beat and even sensitive topics here, but i don't really listen to this one that much) 8. We Made You (classic, catchy, but as always, we can do better) 7. Hello and medicine ball are the worse We made you, Hell Breaks Loose, elevator and Old Times Sake are somewhat mid but not bad at all Insane is the most out of pocket thing even I wouldn’t mind any placement outside of top 5 The rest is easily a 8-10/10 and this is literally my favourite album besides the original Encore . Masterpiece
I didn’t include any of deluxe, expanded editions, refill etc. I tried keeping it the base and normal album. Some of these (ESPECIALLY Relapse and MTBMB would be like double the length). I could rank those too though. Heads up, “My Darling” is one of his best songs.
