Did this project with my grandson so am going to add a few additional tips. *Note: He wanted his multi coloured so we used only three being Aqua Marine(which is a blue) /Fuschia (which is a pink) /Lemon Yellow, however once a portion of the aqua marine was overlapped with the pink it gave him a purple PLUS when the lemon yellow was overlapped with the Aqua Marine it gave him a mint green and the combination of the Fuschia with the yellow gave him orange. So in all, he had at least six colours which he wanted without having to purchase bottles of the three additional colours. (Artists often mix colours to achieve different ones which is a Colour Wheel technique.) Also, after dying EACH segment he put the head in the freezer to set each colour. Last but not least a lesson was learned: After the dying of head is completed and IF you are putting the head in the micro-wave to shape it MONITOR IT VERY CLOSELY and do it in SMALL INCREMENTS as he ended up melting the portion that attaches to the stick itself. Bummer! :( (Next time will use a heat gun.)Footnote: He used one full bottle of the aqua marine as well as the lemon yellow. Whereas the Fushia being a darker colour he used about l/4 of the bottle. HOPE THE ABOVE TIPS HELP.
With the editing and music choice, kinda felt like watching a old mythbusters ep xD otherwise pretty good instructional, I would recomend however; - Not keeping the water to a boil throughout the entire dying process as the head may get jellied - Rinsing the head under cold water or keeping it in the freezer after dying
Yes but vinyl sheets or adhesive sheets are better but still fine to use, use a heat gun on low and 6 inches away to really activate the adhesive in the vinyl electrical tape
