It was a huge betrayal and I'm so glad that he still even when betrayed over and over when he was nothing but loyal- he rose above it in the end. He was and is the strongest of them all, to be able to still be there for a family that did nothing, but cause his life pain whether indirectly or directly.

His development, his history, his deep connections to other characters and his capacity to both forgive and understand others even when he hates them is just extraordinary. Honestly don't understand why anyone could not like or appreciate his character. Also just realised that Klaus (nick)named Marcel 'little warrior', Hayley 'little wolf' and Hope 'littlest wolf'. It's like the four of them were destined to be a family.

@@joanlee2382 Marcel did not betray them. They deserved it . Literally Elijah and Freya killed his daughter . Elijah did not think twice and killed Marcel . Mikaelsons are messed up people. Marcel betraying them is not at all wrong .
