Just so everyone knows, I enjoyed these recaps so much that I tried watching the anime in question and it’s kinda terrible. These recaps are sooooo much better than the source material. The story isn’t bad but the voice acting and the animation is just god awful.

It's originally a Chinese Web comic. So I could only imagine how bad the anime adaption is.
It's still going on to this day if you actually want to see where the story goes, it would be far better the the anime.

I think for a Chinese dub it’s actually pretty decent but reading the manga is much better I personally have read every chapter and watched every season

@@winnkey its actualy a Novel, the webcomic is based on the novel, and already destroys quite a few things from the original story, the anime the n takes its inspiration from the webcomic and destroy's even more about the series, i suggest you read the translated Novel as its quite good, tho i must warn people in advance, since it is in fact a Translated Chinese novel, some may still find it a Chore to read since it takes heavy emphasis on the standard Cliche's that chinese novels has and can be tiresome to read, tho for first timers that want to read chinese translated novels theyl be able to enjoy it immensly

Mo fan literally just pulled the "I've only known my arch wolf for like 5 minutes but if anything happens to them I'll kill everyone then myself" card.
Well, too be fair this is Mo Fan. He gets attached to anyone nice to him faster than it takes to chug a vial of spirit spring. Besides he already has a thing with beating up wolves, also that one traitor that could also summon a wolf. So not too surprising he was like oh wander around, bumps into a giant wolf, and says you will be my puppy.

The anime name is versatile mage and it has over 4000 chapters. So you can expect a lot from it. I read up to around 1000 chapters where a guy from Egypt summons an undead to fight in the world mage tournament. Though I can't remember what happens that much.

Tip for anyone who wants to watch it by themselves: don't, the dub is honestly really bad and a good sub is hard to find and also those which are "good" have many mistakes. This channel covers it better than the anime itself.

Isn't this an adaptation of the web novel, "Versatile Mage", that I've been reading on novelfull? How are they planning to cram in everything from such a long novel, even if they only cover the beginning of his journey? I mean, I just looked, and it's an ongoing series, which is up to chapter 2,684! If it's just boiling a good story down to like twenty or more chapters per episode, I'll take a pass. Ahh, the dangers of reading something before watching the adaptation. :(
It's from the same novel " Quan Zhi Fa Shi" but this anime is from 2016 and the webtoon from 2018, actually the quality of the anime is low compared to the graphic of the webtoon.
Yes. There is an anime and a webtoon. The anime is really a bad adaptation.
The novel is fire though.
It has been so long since I finished the novel so I forgot the name of the arcs.
But the best arcs were definitely the huge Undead incident, The international contest, and the All womens school in Alps.

@@mentisvidus2005 yes. I really loved the invasion of undead one, the ones where Mu bai and the others relocated. It takes 300+ chapters to build up and the finale of that arc is a bomb. Same for the competition. They traveled around the world and it has a very long build up but the fighting in the official tournament makes the build up worth it. The Egypt arc is also good, probably on my top 10, but the aforementioned three are the ones that I really like.
