Did you expect anything less from The Gorillaz?
I remember this coming out in 1999. I was in year 6. Final year of junior school. I litraly lived around the corner from school. And this music video was shown on itv this morning or some breakfast show. And it captivated me. And made me late for school. I remember my teacher saying how can you be late. I can see your house from here 🤣

It’s weird, ‘cause I almost only listen to metal, but every once in a while you find bands like Gorillaz and you just love it anyways. I recommend El Mañana

The Soul Child Remix is the fire version of this song. Same music video, but the beat is Hella better.
Imho that remix is not gilding the lily--it is injecting adrenalin. Awesome comments. Altho listenening to these drawn out minor sounds is pretty fine. And I love the clever lyrics as well. For real, I guess any day I hear this song should be much improved.
