The crankshaft was actually fine. I knew that from the start. But, in order to fully rebuild the engine, and replace the bearings, clean the cases etc. I needed to remove the crank. The reason I tore it down to begin with, was that when I got the quad, It ran fine, except It didn't have 3rd gear! So I figured while I was rebuilding the transmission, I would pull the crank, and take it all the way! Hope that helps.
@@jasongiaco I have a Polaris predator 500 like yours but I dont know what's wrong with it it sounds like something from the stator is not working and I change stator and starter but it still do the same noise
Thanks Brandon, I literally tried EVERYTHING to get that nut off, until I came up with that plan to "make" a tool. Let me know if you ever need to borrow it!
Where did you get your parts I cannot find parts for my 2005 predator 500 I blew the transmission completely I think.
Can I please borrow this tool

So you do need to remove that nut to split cases? That’s dumb first time running into this
Did you use it to install it as well?
