Saturday Love was released in 1985, I remember listening to the song on & on, I was 14 years old at the time, there's something magical, a beautiful duet, Alexander & Cherelle produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, It didn't get a rinckle, for me those are forever songs...
I made my own bass line on the track, try as always to experiment things and ideas.
Nothing is stuck, try to find songs you love to practice your pentatonic scales, degrees and riffs, specialy in tracks where the bass part is very quiet.
Know the root key of a song & it's changing keys if there are, then explore as you wish.
