As a person who has both, I honestly still love the Xbox; it has many things I wish ps had. I just hope Microsoft get their act together and go back to the way it used to be before the layoffs
@@BaggerFood101 tbf I can agree. I think it was just TOO ahead to of its time - focusing on overwhelming things that the gamers at the time couldn’t really comprehend. Plus the price was pretty big. I feel the comparison with No Mans Sky to Starfield isn’t unwarranted. Hello games is a significantly smaller team that has worked to push the space genre. But besides that Starfield does have glaring issues, no thanks to Todd Howard’s overselling of the game. I think the comparison has to do with Starfield being a good Bethesda game, but a bad space game. Yeah you can fly your ship, but only outside orbit, otherwise all other traversal is through a loading screen. The freedom is limited further by having over 1,000 planets, but only being able to access a small portion of the surface that can be quite dull and boring at times. I’ve heard people say “well that’s because that’s how space really is”, well then why was the bar for immersions set so low? That many planets isn’t necessary for a good space game, but it’s a great marketing tool, No Mans Sky and the people at Hello Games knew that back in 2016. A smaller number of planets would have allowed for more and better detail. Every planet can be usefully unique, quantity does not equal quality. Bethesda’s working on a 13 year old method of gameplay design that’s become stale, and the community has responded negatively to it.
"you can play Froza for years and not get bored"... earlier in the video "I wanted to play something different because I'd played 6 days of Forza and I was bored of it..."
In terms of exclusives in my opinion, PlayStation doing it better, but in terms of just playing cross gen titles and memberships, I feel like Xbox are winning in that department, especially because of Smart Delivery
I kept my series x for quite some time after buying it used, very quiet and smooth console, but there's no game out there that uses the full capability of the console, i mostly play old cods and assassin's creed
Starfield is fine. Not a WOW game for me, but I sunk in around 400-500 hours and aside from the frequent game crashes, it was a good experience. But yeah personally I feel that exclusives aside, Xbox has built a better platform. It feels more consumer-friendly, with better backwards support, a better subscription service and a neat hardware feature that you can't get even on PC, I'm referring to Quick Resume.
I got rid of my consoles and only game on my PC. Both consoles lack character, and pc gives a better experience than both. Sticking with pc personally. Edit* my comment sounds negative but i think both consoles slap, but if you have a PC it's hard to justify choosing a console for me. Especially with all the indie games and Crossplay being so common now. Good video! If I didn't have a PC I'd definitely get the Xbox.
My series s is a gamepass/ backwards compat/ cloud gaming console. I use it to save my physical games from wear as im a big big retro collector and gamepass is an amazing value plus tge cloud makes it easy to try games. I have a pc for more heavy usage games but most of the time I just boot up my Series S just for the casual factor. I game about 4 hours mon-fri and at least 12-14 hrs between sun and sat for context
Nice, it’s got lots of life left I wouldn’t worry too much, if you’re into retro gaming I’d recommend buying dev mode and installing retroarch, the series s is perfect for it!
@@DylRez just because you have it on a disc doesn't always mean you have the data on the disc, remember MW2? There was controversy about the game due to the disc just holding 70mb of data, definitely not the game on that disc. You had to have an internet connection to download the game.
Yeah I’ve found myself gaming less this generation, both consoles just have 0 character compared to 360/One PS3/4 but I think this is just gonna be the way it is moving forward unfortunately
@DylRez you think ps5 is worth it? That console sucks too. There's hardly any games. People keep saying spiderman and god of war etc but those games suck and are years old. I prefer xbox series x a bit more because you can use Internet browser and media apps are better but thats not what a £500 console should be for.
@@Brock-Lesnar-WWE the ps5 is great if you didn’t have a ps4 as you can go back and play the ps4 exclusives as-well as some of the ps5 consoles exclusives such as returnal , final fantasy 16, but exclusives are not really a selling point anymore as the come out on pc too eventually, best console for you is all down to what features you want. The Xbox has features that the PlayStation used to have. The PS3 was the greatest console to grace the markets.

I mean it in more of a replayable sense, 150 on a game is still decent amount of time
Xbox is still the superior console than PlayStation.
Lmao if you say so
Not even close.

Imagine if the staff ended up using nvidia ai frame gen and dlss technologies over on console. Be elite
Would be great for consoles as most games then would be at 4k 60 but having the option to turn it off would also need to be there
I own a series S but don’t own a single Xbox game I use it for gamepass and emulation and don’t regret it at all
Literally same with my old series s, dev mode is a great
