was there last Wednesday on 11th September 2024. Did not know about a concert at the end awaiting all. Felt goosebumps when I saw the boats slowly coming out from far with the classical music. Trying to find the name of the entry music piece. Just wow.
@@krystleperkins6679 A great gift in your comment: the name, i was looking for till now. Thank you so much. As per their website one of the four songs is "Barcarolle, The Tales of Hoffmann'
I saw this 41 years ago when i was 6 in 1981. It was slightly different then. They had red blue and green lights under the water and the boats weren't lit like they are now. They were floodlit from the inside and one of the boats had and upright piano in it and all the orchestra were in tuxedo's. And they actually played then. Lol.
Just back yesterday from holiday and went to the caves. Didn't know about this and wondered why we had to sit down! Absolutely wholeheartedly 💯%" amazing. The first tune, I swear ( my visit ) I think was the music you hear in the film ' coming to America ' at the start when they wake up Eddie Murphy's character.
I went here in 2014 and have been dying to hear the music they played but I can't find it on here. They must change it up all the time. But it was so eerie, it was hauntingly beautiful.
You weren't on the USS John Rodgers were you? I went for a meal on January 1st there with some US Navy personnel that we met at a house church run by Bob Maines who was in the FGBMFI. They had a Christmas meal at the church if my memory is accurate.
Hi David, no, I was on the USS El Paso. I never heard of that ship, it may not have been home ported in Norfolk , as my ship was. My birthday was Dec. 24th (in Mallorca) and for the only time in my life I didn't realize the date. Such is the life of a sailor. Sounds like you had a better Christmas than me. Cheers, Dave
You are probably correct in that. Shortly afterwards The USS John Rodgers was in action in Lebanon as part of a UN Peace Keeping Force. All things might have gone well, but the president elect was assassinated and after that everything went pear shaped. :(
Yes, 1. 03:02 Johann Pachelbel - Canon in D Major 2. 06:57 Edward Elgar - Salut d'Amour 3. 9:57 Antonio Vivaldi - Winter, 2. Movement ( from 4 Seasons, RV 297) 4. 12:02 Jacques Offenbach - Barcarole Fun fact: Playlist seems not to change over the years, we had the same in October 2022.
Take her it’s only dark to show the lights and for the experience it’s a beautiful show and a lovely memory you can make that I’m sure she will recall for life!
I was there on 2018 with my husband, on honeymoon, and this moment was so beautiful. My eyes were full of tears.

We were there that day too!! Incredible. I wanted to know the second song's title. I thought it was Pachebel's Canon in D for the first one.
