A decision by Incheon International Airport Co. to give full employment status to temporary workers has stirred up a furious debate about a level playing field and angered some for what they called reverse discrimination.

I don’t see how this process is unfair, it’s fair to those that are already working their butts off on temporary contract to get rewarded with a permanent contract and is a great move for Korea.
What needs to change is the dog eat dog world recruitment process that has existed for so long and created a huge gap in social economic status. This opens up an extra way to gain employment, those grad students can also apply to temp jobs and know that there is hope to achieve permanent status if they work hard. Studying isn’t the only way to achieve working hard, those that graft are also working hard.
