    I used the same 3 mechanical pencil set up that I detailed in the previous video for this. One thing I think I can improve on more in the future is leaving a little more space that is less busy so that the eye has a place to rest. Also less busy spaces make the more detailed spaces even crazier. I have the urge to completely pack the paper to the brim, but when I manage to fight this, I tend to like the results.

    Hello, Mr. Peter... I hope you are in perfect health... Mr. Peter, I live in Iran, life in my country is very exhausting and difficult, and finding hope is even harder. I met your channel a few months ago, and life in those days was very sad for me It was exciting... I could hardly concentrate and sadness and poverty brought me close to madness... But when I watched your videos, my heart beat became calmer, I focused on your words... Your words are funny and interesting and rich They are deep words that I think about myself and I always admire you for your skills in designing. One day I started to design with your style and I continued this more and more so that today I am even working on a big project thanks to your style. You know... you saved me from madness, you saved me from the death of my mind. I ask you to never get tired of making videos! I want you to be more skillful in the future...it's a pity that I can't repay your favor and it makes me ashamed...but thank you, you deserve a very peaceful life, you were the reason why you are such a hardworking man. And be patient in this life... You are truly an angel that I never want to forget. May you always be happy in life and thank you.

    Peter, I thought that the next step up from drawing with graphite pencils was chewing on erasers. I like to Zen out and grind my own ink from Chinese ink sticks, but my drawing with their calligraphy brushes kinda socks out loud. I also like making messes with Chinese water colors. I think about the fact that the binder that holds the colors is microfiber soot from the burning of tung tree oil and partials of antlers, and how ancient that art form actually is. I admire your talent at making abstract thoughts appear to make sense in the material world.

      @@ulfaxmacher999 Not implying that he did; just saying that it expresses a weird sentiment. Intention is important, but just as important is the effectuation. In this case, the effectuation was an unclear point and a bit off-colour, even if non-intentional.

      @@ApolloELM Pick out one phrase! 🙄 Why should he edit stuff out for the cancel culture crowd, censoring himself? He loves animals, what's with your "hunted down" assertion! Btw I like knowing what someone really thinks, instead of hiding for fear of judgment.

    • @ApolloELM
      @ApolloELM Год назад

      @@riteasrain This is such a weird interpretation of what I initially said. All I did was comment on the off-putting nature of the way what he said came out. I didn’t critique him, nor did I advocate for “cancelling” him. I literally just said that it’s a weird sentiment because it doesn’t take the time to consider what it’s actually implying. Also, I didn’t say anything about him not liking animals; again, you’re misreading me to such a degree that it feels a bit disingenuous. What I said was that the sentiment is weird when framed in those words. Thought it was pretty clear from the initial comment I made, but obviously not. I, like many people in Peter’s community, am an artist, and I take my responsibilities as an artist very seriously, and that includes reflecting upon the way we sometimes express things and realizing that the intimation which those expressions carried don’t accurately portray the nature of one’s actual feelings on the matter (ie. again, never implied Peter doesn’t like animal or is advocating for hunting; literally just mentioned that the underlying sentiment that came across was very clearly not okay, and you somehow took from that that there’s a cancel culture crowd trying to pressure him into changing his work).
      Also, dude literally included an edit like two seconds after the comment-of-his in question, so the idea that he just shouldn’t edit out things that don’t sound good, when that’s literally what he did right afterwards, likely to get rid of dead air or something else normal in video production, is weird, as it’s literally the same thing as before: editing out things that don’t sound good.
      Anyhow, you sound like a really modest person who definitely doesn’t read into internet comments and use it to fuel their own conditionalized biases and misinformed political views. Take care.

      @@gaelhillyardcreative Didn’t come off as ironic, more like a fumbled expression of what he probably actually meant, but I agree with @louiselangerud, it’s important that the underlying messaging of what he tried to say does not overshadow the factual devastation that ivory-harvesting continues to wreak to this day, a reality that many people gloss over, and that mistakes in expression such as the one made by Peter can unintentionally perpetuate through normalization of aesthetics-over-ethics (again, not saying this is Peter’s aim; quite the contrary, but it’s a necessity in the contemporary world to make sure that our true feelings don’t get lost in the minutia of our phraseologies).
