A new series greets you!!! This one is the fourth, which is heading towards the end unfortunately, I’m over half way now probably. Fortunately though, it is another very interesting series, like almost every series I do, in their different ways. Anyways this one was up there in one of my most liked ones, for a different reason than usual. It was because of the bus, it was one unique bus honestly! As I mentioned in the title, this RATP Group Enviro 200 has quite some interesting features, one of them is the infamous slamming rear doors this bus has, it shuts fast, and I mean real fast! Another unique thing I noticed on this bus was that the iBus/announcement display on the front right of the bus wasn’t working at all, it might off been off or malfunctioning, but the actual announcements was still audible on the bus, which was pretty peculiar and a bit weird to get used to 🤣 But to be honest it’s still rare to see that happening usually, hence why it is a pretty unique bus. Also, earlier like I mentioned, the rear doors slam so fast, there is only 3 beeps for the door closing which usually has 5 on normal doors on other Enviro 200s. Moving onto the actual route of the 326 though, it was pretty nice, but it’s nothing tooo special in my opinion, as I personally have experienced more interesting routes throughout London’s buses. As this route starts at Barnet, and ends at Brent Cross, it might sound like the route could be very interesting, but it mostly wasn’t anything special, but the best parts were the hail and ride parts, where the bus could go pretty fast through the neighbourhood roads of North London, which is what most of the route consists of anyway, which is why it isn’t the most special. However that wasn’t my main aim for this journey. It was mostly because of the bus, itself. Another point I have to add though is that these 2011 RATP Group Enviro 200s could be leaving this route and bus garage, to be withdrawn and scrapped soon, as some already have in the following past months, which gives me a feeling the rest of them will be withdrawn soon enough, which was another reason I wanted to try this bus on this bus route, as I have never done this route before this time, and it’s one of the 3 routes these buses go on currently. Now moving onto how good the driver was, he was actually surprisingly good, which made matters even better than I thought they were gonna be!! At first though, when it pulled out of Barnet the Spires (the terminus), he was going a bit slow through the roads, which made me feel a bit bad about how the bus journey was going to be like from start to finish, but he started to really build his speed up on most roads the route went on, but he was a bit of a different driver than most fast ones, as he gradually built his speed, which meant there usually wasn’t much acceleration or high revs, which isnt necessarily a bad thing, it was just interesting to point out, as not all bus drivers are like this. Honestly all was really great to see, and put a bit of a smile on my face! Overall, I was very lucky to catch this bus, and hopefully I can do the other 2 bus routes soon, if nothing bad happens to these aging buses, but definitely goes up there with some of my favourite bus route/journey experiences!
Anyways, enjoy and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more vids!
