Ay glad you like it! I will say that this data pack has been updated recently and is even more polished than before! Trees no longer generating in water, more proper oceans and rivers, and more vegetation in oceans. Along with adding some structures to the underground area.
@@Klinbee I've been liking the datapack so far, but i noticed that the world is almost entirely made of ocean/river. I can't tell if it's the seed or the datapack, though. Either way, it's still an awesome datapack!
@@Morgenswamp Gotta be the seed, im 2 weeks into my cave world using the datapack and struggling to find ocean biomes lol, ive got mostly lush caves and deep dark with some dark forest and spruce forest biomes nearbye, its made finding turtle eggs for farms really challenging lol
Mate, youre a fkn legend!!! I used to love the cave world preset but found it was very limited, i was so excited to make a new one when i heard about the caves and cliffs update, but they removed it 😂😂😂 so glad you made this you are the goat 🎉
I have come back a week later to say thank you again!!! i am having the most terrifying fun i've had in absolute years in this game xD i used this datapack to make a hardcore world and spawned literally on top of an ancient city right next to some warden shriekers, absolutely terrifying but im slowly starting to make the city my own lmao, the cave world is full of pleasant surprises, sugar-cane is rarer than diamonds but they do spawn!! which makes rocket flight possible inside the caves and its alot of fun haha, bees seem to spawn above Y 11 ish and are very hard to find but they do spawn! the passive mob cab is constantly taken up by axelotles so if you want cows/chickens/sheep to spawn you have to be a bit of a monster.... but it is possible to also force passive mob spawns! still testing to see if i can force turtle spawns! Thank you again for this datapack, im having the most fun ive had in years in this game, ive imagined something like this for 5+ years now and you made it exactly how i invisioned. definitely gonna have to do a series with this
Sounds great! I am glad you are having fun with this, it's why I make these. The main issue with passive mobs is actually the light level-- even mobs spawned in with worldgen need there to be enough light to spawn, so if you place torches around you can get them to spawn. Turtles should be able to spawn too, but I believe they have some kind of strict y-level requirement, I would check the wiki on that one.
@@Klinbee yeah it has to be no more than 4 blocks above sea level which i believe is set to -55 on the datapack so i still have to play around with platform height because im not sure if that y value is hard-coded to the turtle spawning or if they just use the global sea level.
Idk if minecraft allows but could be cool to have a version of the datapack that makes so glowstone can generate in the cave overworld so theres some more light around
this is awesome. is there anything i could do to use this data pack but make trees super rare? looking for a middle ground between this and the old cave worldgen setting.
Yes, you could look at the placed feature files and add a rarity filter to them. Look into this on misode’s data pack generator (specifically placed_feature).
Okay, this might be a little impossible with datapacks, but could you make a dimension which has overworld, sky, and cave generation? It'd be overworld generation, then after going 128 blocks down it would switch to cave generation, and going 320 blocks up it would switch to sky generation. I'm aware that it's possible to increase the height/depth limit, but I don't think it'd be possible to have the world generation 'switch' like that based on elevation would it
Yeah it’s possible. If you look at my Skylands over the Sea video, you’ll see that I have floating islands generating over a primarily ocean world with proper caves down to -64.
I dont know why, but when im generating the world, it makes a layer of trees and all the biomes at the top, instead on the bottom. There are sometimes trees in the caves but not much, any help???
Uhh hm I’m kind of confused at what you’re trying to say, I think a screenshot would help. You can join my discord and look for one of my help channels. But I feel like you’re just seeing the cave biomes? Like they won’t have trees in them (deep dark, dripstone caves) and those are normally lower but they aren’t everywhere, so maybe you’re just in a bad location?
It just replaces the normal world, so you don’t select caves or anything. If you’re trying to do this in the video without the data pack, not possible.
I've been searching for a mod/datapack like this for YEARS! Thank you!

Definitely the seed. I could technically reduce oceans though… might consider that.
If you’re on 2 weeks, you’re on an older version of the data pack. I updated it on December 8th.

I could add that pretty easily.

dude, if you made a mod with the structures down there that would be awesome
He updated the datapack on modrinth recently and now the structures spawn!
interesting side effect of having this with terrablender is that it creates a superflat with biomes at the top lol
Interesting

would this be able to be recreated for bedrock edition? been looking for something like this for ageeeess
I don’t know much about bedrock edition so I don’t know.
Wtttffff its meee Im there

quidvio mod dev arc :pauseman:?
I need to ask what i choose as the biome that the world is going to be in how do i do it like Klinbee did it

@@Klinbee THANKS YOU SO MUCH IT WORKED
been a year but ima try it out xd
Will this work for cave mods?
It should yeah, there might be some issues depending on how the mod handles the generation though..
how do i turn it on?
don't make mods please
link download Bedrock 🥲
Data packs aren’t supported for bedrock unfortunately
