Omar, thank you so much for this!! So cool of you to do. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this with your commentary 😆😅 and appreciate your opinions alongside it. Thank you for all your kind words, it’s greatly appreciated 🙏🏼!
Babycat was created by Dominique Ropion for YSL. A year before, he made Vanagloria for Laboratorio Olfattivo and both fragrances are suspiciously identical ;)
I think all of Dominique Ropion's fruity fragrances are masterpieces but I have yet to connect with one that isn't. Portrait Of A Lady and Oud Malaki were unfortunately huge misses for me.
I received my Mr. Fragrant a few days ago. The opening does not thrill me; however, the dry down is fabulous! To my nose, and I am a beginner as a collector, it reminds me of an old-school masculine fragrance from the 70's like Ted Lapidus Pour Homme but much more refined, less brash, and without the sharp edges. Off of my skin, I primarily get very nice florals and vetiver. There is also an enticing and soothing eathiness that is rich and classy. Well, done!
I legit discovered her and this video just the other day. Had to see what your thoughts were, and couldn’t agree more, she did a great job and the list was 👌🏾
Hey Omar ! that was really fun to watch ,hahah the part that she kept describing u was hilarious 😂😂 I love how you have that comedy sense of humor touch in ur vids 😁
Yes, buy a few bottles of Herod. 😅 And an MFK buying guide would be highly appreciated. One of my current go-to office scents is Gentle fluidity silver. Signature worthy.
Herod is amazing ( I'm a huge PDM fan with full bottles of Herod, Layton, Layton Exclusif, Carlisle, Pegasus, Pegasus Exclusif, and Oajan)... All masterpieces ❤
She has great taste. Herod is my current #1 favorite fragrance. Also, thanks for keeping it real and recommending Carved Oud over Oud Wood. All the RUclipsrs recommending Oud Wood are doing everyone a disservice. If you like Oud Wood, it's a no brainer to get Carved Oud instead. Same opening, better dry down , and better performance. It's only upsides with no downside.
Herod < side effect Side effect< Triumph Of Bacchus •NOTE: no one in the US can get BABYCAT currently due to the sell out , so the substitutions are below Babycat< VANAGLORIA VANAGLORIA < Vanilla Barka
A lot are a bit out there. I've gone through over 12 samples so far and the only wearable ones imo were squid and panda. Panda is a summer iso e super fronted scent. Green tea, apple and bamboo. It's my summer sig scent. I wanted to like sloth, I didn't. Moth is crazy old lady perfume cabinet, bee is very good honey but too feminine.
Great presentation, sir. I wear a badge and carry a sidearm, yet I wear Herod in the winter. I find it it very masculine scent because of the tabacco. I rotate Herod with Aaaron Hughes's Tabac and Vanille Havane. I hope one day you, and Anne Lauren, make a video of the most masculine fragrances. Perfect for men like me. Cheerio.
Omar that was the greatest! I like reactions and your reaction to Tom fords oud wood / carved oud! Was actually what made me purchase that Thameen version … I had no idea it was a clone. Now Herod was what made me appreciate the smokiness , incense , woody type of fragrance level. And I am glad to hear that Anne Lauren confirmed it as a Netflix and chill type of seductive fragrance… because it is about a female perspective anyway. And how they like it’s smell on their male counterpart. I’m going to buy it now also… I’ve got Carlisle first.

And as I exited the bus she says sir you smell so"" nice with a wink and that my girl is a lucky lady or something to that line and well apparently it's a compliment monster
I find it curious that these "sexiest fragrances" contain only these "sweet, seductive, heavy" fragrances. My experience has actually been the oposite, I get much more compliments from women wearing fresh fragrances like Creed GIT, Aventus Cologne or Pdm Percival.
That's her scent profile so take it with a grain of salt. She gravitates toward a certain genre and has a more developed nose than most women. What you need is women reviewers rating all genres of scent to come up with a master list.
I finally got around to ordering a sample of Gris Charnel. I love basically every note in that fragrance. I'm just hoping I get some decent longevity out of it, as that seems to be it's biggest criticism.
I’m glad she mentioned Grand Soir MFK 😍. I loved it from a sample and I’ve yet to get a bottle. I’ve had a small sample for a year just to pick it up and smell it 😂.One day i will buy it
My favourite amber/resin is golden dust oil. I think I'm falling down an oil rabbit hole. Saying that I've not shopped outside sunnamusk yet for fragrance oils

What do you recommend instead of YSL La Nuite de l'Homme since I really love the scent but the performance is awful? Also, I think cardamom is the note that I really like in that fragrance but I'm not sure.
You get a set of 4 in their sample set, try Oud Satin Mood, Gentle Fluidity Silver and BR 540 if you have never tried it (Amyris instead if you want to replace BR)

I think I'll get a dupe from the Naxos. I can't afford the original anyway. And if the course is different now, I don't care as long as the scent is good. I can't make a direct comparison either, because I'll never smell the original anyway.
Maybe try to get muglers pure havane. Naxos has been inspired by it, so its the og of this dna. Maybe you will find it still for a good price, but often it is overpriced cause i think it got discontinued.
Try Insurrection II Wild by Reyane Tradition. It's apparently a clone of Pure Havane which apparently a close to Naxos. I have it and I really enjoy it a lot. Honey, tobacco, vanilla and spices with pretty good performance too.
I prefer Oajan… (Beautiful woman goes crazy over Herod) I changed my mind I’ll get ten bottles after this video 😂😂 You’re hilarious Omar and it’s great seeing you grow into yourself on camera and lean more and more into your humor and confidence. Herod, Naxos, Oud Wood/Carved Oud are all 10/10 for me and have gotten me a lot of compliments.

Good luck trying to get Babycat. I can’t understand why anyone would review a fragrance that’s impossible to get or just has an ungodly price tag.
I hear that Herod is excellent for removing stubborn grease stains on glass and is an effective rodenticide.
