  • Back to making videos again... it took me a while to figure out which song I wanted to to next. This song is definitely one of my all time favorites. It's super fun to play, and it has awesome lyrics!

    Wonderful video and brilliant play through ! I was asked to learn this song for worship this coming Sunday. I own a GT-1 and would like to have a similar tone. Can you share more details about the settings please? You mentioned the effects previously; any more details? Which preamp are you using? On the delay, r u using doted 8th or else what time? Thanks so much for your reply

      Thanks for the support Yon! Sorry to say I don't remember much about my settings used here. I only used the GT-1 for a couple months and have since sold it. I know I was using one of the Vox AC30 amps and definitely dotted eighth delay. Sorry about that.

      @@JoeMcDaniel No pb. Thanks Joe. Appreciate your response. I got the sound quite close. I noticed on newer videos you have moved to Kemper now. Nice choice ;)

    Hi, i'm from Brasil, you just got a writing. I have boss GT 1 and really wanted to know the configuration that you use in worship songs, stay with God.

    Nice flavor on the lead lines. You get really good, thick tone out of your pro jet.
    I have one and feel like it sometimes sounds muddy, or unclear, any tips?

      Thanks Paul! I've noticed that the middle and neck position are pretty muddy on mine also. The bridge pickup by itself sounds great though. I tried messing with pickup heights, and that helped out a bit. The pole pieces can be adjusted as well which might help. I have been meaning to mess with those.

      ***** thanks. Good idea, I'll give the poles a bit of work and see if closer might help. Cheers!

    I've decided I definitely want the 72 VM Thinline Tele, but I'm trying to figure out if I can get away with paying less and still great tone with the Squier versus the Fender. I've noticed you have great tone with the Squier. Do you think there's any downside to settling with the Squier?

      I was in the same situation as you before buying this guitar. It's absolutely a great guitar for the price. There obviously should be a quality difference between a Fender and a Squier, but VM models are some of the best quality you can find at the price. I haven't gotten the chance to play a Fender one, but I am happy with the Squire and I can recommend it. Hope that helps!

    What's your pedal setting?

    • @JoeMcDaniel
      @JoeMcDaniel  7 лет назад +1

      Hello Graato I used a Boss GT-1 multi effects unit. On there, I used the Boss CS-3 compressor, natural overdrive, tape delay and hall reverb.

      Your tone is cool. Very good. Anyway, I just bought the RV-6 boss reverb. Cannot wait to explore the setting.. hoping that can get the ambient tone like yours ;)

      Thanks man! I love the sound of the RV-6, and I don't even have one, haha. You should have no problem getting great ambient tones out of it. Have fun with it!
