    Salim Khan, is an Indian film actor, producer, and screenwriter. He Wrote many screenplays together with Javed Akhtar as team Salim-Javed. As a writer, he is known for Sholay (1975), Deewaar (1975), and Zanjeer (1973).
    He is the father of three Bollywood actors, Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, and Arbaaz Khan, and film producer Alvira Khan Agnihotri. He is married to Sushila Charak also known as Salma Khan and to actress Helen Richardson Khan.
    Director K. Amarnath, who was impressed by his good looks offered him a supporting role in his forthcoming film Baraat. Baraat was duly made and released in 1960, it did not do too well. Some of the movies in which he played a supporting role are Teesri Manzil (1966), Sarhaadi Lootera (1966), and Diwaana (1967). In the late 1960s, Salim Khan, who was struggling financially, decided to write scripts. One of his more notable film scripts was Do Bhai (1969).
    He Wrote many screenplays together with Javed Akhtar as team Salim-Javed. Their first big success was the script for Andaz, followed by Adhikar (1971), Haathi Mere Saathi, and Seeta Aur Geeta (1972). They also had hits in Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973), Zanjeer (1973), Haath Ki Safai (1974), Deewaar (1975), Sholay (1975), Chacha Bhatija (1977), Don (1978), Trishul (1978), Dostana (1980), Kranti (1981), Zamana (1985) and Mr. India (1987). They have worked together in 24 films including two Kannada films - Premada Kanike and Raja Nanna Raja. Of the 24 films, they wrote 20 were hits. Though they split in 1982.
    Salim Khan, after splitting, from Javed wrote scripts and dialogues for successful movies like Angaaray (1986), Naam (1986), Kabzaa (1988), and Jurm (1990).
    Recently Salman Khan shared a video of the father-son duet on Twitter. In the video clip, which also features singer Kamaal Khan, Salim and Salman are singing Mohammad Rafi's song 'Suhani Raat dhal chuki' from the 1949 film 'Dulari'

    i listened to him for the very first time in Kapil sharma's show, and had learned one thing from him that don't cry before anyone kyunki log aansuon ka sauda krte hai, from then only i have started listening to him more and more, i may not get to meet him but that doesn't matter as one can still learn from his experiences sitting at home and watching his interviews.

      Same here..the first time I heard Salim sahab on Kapil sharma show and from that day I always watch his interviews in free time.. baato baaton me kuch aisa keh jaate hai ye k zindagi ka sabaq de jaaye.
      As he said " Experience ka koi substitute nahi hai".

    In the same interview, he mentions about a story related to Prophet Muhammad as well as one related to Lakshmi and Saraswati. That's the true and beautiful Indian culture, but it is highly unfortunate that we are gradually moving away from it now. We definitely need many more Salim Khans around!

    Salim sahab ki tareef krna is like chhota mu badi baat, lekin he is a man of wisdom. While listening to his interviews, I listen to all his words very carefully. They are the crux of 83 years and believe me no school can teach you these experiences. I am thankful to Neelesh Sir as well to bring such an interesting interview.

    Neelesh ji's questioning style is unique. He's not responding after Salim ji's answer. He just jumped into the next question 😊.
    I mean he's not doing like the other interviewers do. Like after complete the answer.....ohh that's great, that's nice, says other interviewers

    excellent interview! Both the interviewer and interviewee were at their best! This is how an interview of a vintage celebrity , like Salim Khan should be conducted - so kudos to the interviewee for not interrupting and allowing Salim Sahab to speak his heart out.

    . Few human being could endure what Salman goes through every sigle day!!!
    It hurts me a lot to see Salman living in such a place even ordinary ppl like us live in better houses than him

    I am a huge fan of Salim khan after watching him first in Kapil Sharma show and then now here. He's such a beautiful person just like Salman. I have always loved Salman Khan because he's such a delight to watch and hear. There is SO much wisdom in this. There are people who will hurt others to be "respected" in the society and there are people like this Khan family who don't care about people judging them, as long as they are happy.

    how easily he told about his mother , and the last thing he said that mother called him nearer but could not touch, that is a suffering he remembers, i cried while he was narrating. u can just feel the pain of the man at that moment.
