The reason you fight then "one at a time" is because of technological limitations of the original SFC/SNES where you cannot have four large distinctive enemies on-screen at once.
@@SonAviel the pixel remaster is not enough, especially since they redid the opera scene Octopath style, they should have done the whole game in that style
I had hella trouble fighting Rubicante. I was following IGN's tips on defeating him and used leviathan. It worked occasionally, but for the most part it healed him. Titan was a good way to go, thanks.
Counter Blast Use the Forum's strat Cast shiva when his cloak is open so he counters with Blizzara on himself, which is supposed to heal him,but since his cloak is open it doest and deals about 3K
I remember when i was fighting the archfiends and cecil was the only one that survived too lol i had to keep using elixirs and attacking as cecil til he died
I do that copycat stratgy against sandy cindy mindy when sandy casts reflect i make tellah cast reflect then start using firagas on themselves cause it bounces on the enemy
It looks kind of odd right? What's really going on is that Focus doubles your attack power and it can be used up to the times for massive damage. It really gets me when you power it up and then you end up dying on the forth turn.
@@mithhitm609, really? Thank you! Honestly through the game since Babil I was underleveled and it sucked. And then my second playthrough came in and I knew what I was doing and was like level 99 with my party at like 70 by this point.
The Gold Needle was for Edge, who I thought was effected by Stone Touch. Bouncing back Thundaga to FuSoYa was a complete accident as well. Apart from the close call against Rubi, this didn't turn out to be a mess.
When the defender orb uses “reflect” on the CPU, you could’ve done the same to your entire party. So then when you attack your party member with Thundaga or whatever, it would hit the CPU directly, due to it reflecting off your party member. Old school trick I learned. :)
Rubicante: Many are more powerful than 1! ...So were going to fight you one after the other instead of all at once. We'll leave that to the superboss.
This fight with the fiends would be ten times worse than this if you fought them all at the same time
Raven Impossible, you cant have Kain jumping,Edge stealing,Cecil healing and covering,Rosa buffing and Rydia attacking at the same time
Azka '02 Yeah but it would be a nice raid for XIV ARR
In my opinion, this is the final boss of FF4. Only proto babil it's hardest than those balls

@@izunia8436 this comment aging like a nice wine
bro when i realized i had to fight all four at once I got so scared because I could barely beat one of them. definitely an epic moment
It's a shame all four didn't have their own cutscene in their first battles, the voices for Barbaricca and Scarmiglione could've made it more epic.
Scarmiglione was voiced by Dameon Clarke. And Barbaricca- Karen Strassman.
Rubicante did, with the group. Not the other three though
FF1, FF2, FF5 and FF6 still need a remake with this gaming engine
FF6 desperately needs love. I think it had the best story out of the golden age of Final Fantasy (1-9)
@@SonAviel the pixel remaster is not enough, especially since they redid the opera scene Octopath style, they should have done the whole game in that style
FF5 especially for me
fusoya is literally jelly
Sirawesomelol9999 Hahaha 😂 this comment
He is!
He dies Ben Kenobi style

Counter Blast His cloak protects against ice. If you attack with ice & water attacks when his cloak is open, youll do substantial damage.
Edge throwing the knife against the Attack Node is very useful for killing it quickly.
When last we met you taught me a great truth. Ah, such is the epic of video game villainy!
Oh yes. I defeated all the main bosses together. What's next? Oh wait..WTF...is that a fucking computer?
I remember when i was fighting the archfiends and cecil was the only one that survived too lol i had to keep using elixirs and attacking as cecil til he died
Wait DS version has voices? Im getting this game for sure now
Increases intelligence.

Yes sir, it isn't fully voiced but it has it's fair share of voice acting.

Said something eerily similar this morning! Haha, he's the Batman of Final Fantasy.
Rubicant is the best demon ive ever met . actually he is a very cool demon.
Damn Rydia rly out here OHKOing all of her friends
I did these fights when Cecil was level 53, and everyone else was like level 45.
you are a hero

I played this game again recently with the mobile update. I think I was around 40 at this point in the game
Oh man that was something...
That was a good plan. Not reviving anyone and let Cicil get the exp. I used to kill Fusoya when Rubikante appeared too.
how do you get the jigsaw summon
That just the nickname for their whyt summon which you automatically get with rydia
I always thought this battle would be a lot cooler if you had to fight all four at once instead of in a row.
Sanjay Merchant it would be unfair. Like , thereare demons .
Make up your mind!
what does bluff do again?
It doubles the users intelligence for 1 turn but it can also stack
All that exp for Cecil, ha ha
this is the real final boss of this games!
why do the characters turn into paper dolls when they die
The spell effects look absolutely lackluster compared to the PSP remake.
Oh really, makes sense though because of it being on the PSP.
wtf never knew inferno does that much dmg
Not me jar jar I would take that trick down.
What the hell does Bluff do?
2x magic power i believe
Increases Intelligence, which is exclusive for Black Magic
Who load a video of a battle supposingly he made a great battle. This match is completly a mess...even a gold needle for nothing...random spells...

@@SonAviel Guessing the Blizzaga against the defense orb when that orb absorbs it was accidental as well.

Totally slipped my mind, thanks
Avielmatic No Problem ^^ Watching this play through, my makes me wanna play this game now. xD
J- Scribble I want to revisit the game as well, I never attempted the Proto Babil quest. Looks hard as hell.
