I’m also looking to trade my 2010 Fz6 for Tracer 900 as it’s called in Europe. I would be keen to hear about your general riding experience, pros/cons of the bike as well as installing various upgrades e.g. heated grips, phone charger, stainless steel brake lines etc. And of course general maintenance to keep running well

Really digging your videos, just picked up a 2017 fj09.
What exhaust you running or if not, you thinking about one?
Looking at the black widow 300

Thanks! It’s actually a stock exhaust, but a new pipe would really open it up.

It's like you were put here to separate me from my money. LOL
Been looking at potentially upgrading to similar for a bit. When the fz6 blows up I'll be looking that direction.

Nice video, thanks! I have a question. Is it more heavy for you then FZ6S? Would you recommend to ride first fz6s for a few years and then only fj9?

The bikes are both within five pounds of each other on paper and they feel that way. The FJ09 looks top heavy but that’s just a visual effect. I actually wouldn’t recommend either bike as a first bike because they are both too powerful. I always recommend starting on a 250 or 300cc bike then moving up to something like the FZ6 or FJ09. Happy riding! 👍

This is something that confuses me, because I don't know what ppl mean with "starting out" in the US. Do you need to do a certified training course and take an exam before you can start riding?
In the EU this is mandatory and I've been doing it on a 600 Hornet and now I feel comfortable on that bike. Would you still recommend a smaller bike as a first purchase?

@Krosis_ Starting out as in being your first bike. Yes, in the US you need to get a license to get your bike. You can take a weekend class to satisfy the riding portion of the test, or you can take the test at the DMV along with the written portion of the test to get your license.
