I love this show, I haven't seen some of these in over 25 years. Woodcarving with Rick Butz was on every Saturday morning on PBS in the early 90's, he was always on right before The New Yankee Workshop. Thank you so much for finding these, if you have any more of these shows that would be awesome.
@@dancuomo3074 First of all, you'll need a good quality working VCR, then you'll need VHS to Digital software for your computer. If you currently don't have a working vcr, try ebay. I bought a 4 Head Zenith from someone like new in the original box and packaging. Try Best Buy or Amazon for the VHS software. I'm planning on converting VHS tapes to Digital using this method.
Compared to what some passionate armatures are putting out these days, His work looks more like that of a casual hobbyist than an experienced carver. The realistic painting was well done on the birds but the relief carving and caricature were not up to the standards of people like Linker, Mary May, etc. I cannot recommend Marry May’s instruction enough. I prefer to carve in the round but her relief carving tutorials always teach me something useful.
Hi I love your work. Iv just bought some small chisels to start my very first carving. I need to sharpen them , In the kit I have a pice of sandpaper and a pice of chalk to sharpen them, I have no idea how to do it, Can anyone help

I actually have more, but they are on VHS and I don't know how to upload a VHS to RUclips.
