Hi and thanks for your comment. Sorry about my pronunciation, I will get it right next time. We fell in love with Scotland and plan to tour one County at a time. Probably spend around 10-15 days in each. Glad you enjoy our videos. Nick, Amanda and the dogs xxxxx
It's a beautiful town. The cottages are lovely to stay in, the food in the restaurants and tea rooms are the best, and the Loch Fyne salmon and kippers are amazing. Try Brambles or The George. I eat there whenever I visit family due to quality food and service. You can even bring your well-behaved dog.
When the Loch is still on a calm day, everything is mirrored in a phenomenal way. There are small mansions, social housing, a primary school and a supermarket round the back of this small village town. The Inveraray Castle is a main tourist attraction, which posed as Dunbarton in Downtown Abbey.
The pass you came over was The Rest & Be Thankful. The main road is usually closed after heavy rain or because of the on going landslide mitigation work, and the diversion is on the Old Military Road (built in 1745). Loch Fyne is pronounced ‘fine’’. Inveraray is a lovely wee town.
Hi Kirsten, thank you for your feedback. Sorry about the pronunciation, I will get it right from now on. If I get chance, I will mention this in our next video.
@@minifarmalpaca I’m not being critical. I always find it’s a good idea to ask a local (in a shop, post office, pub etc.) how to pronounce place names, as often they can sound counterintuitive to how the name is spelled (I.e.Chiswick, Southwark ). I wish some TV presenters would do this 😂
Been fishing a few times on Loch Fyne, a local boat took us out, this was many years ago. On the first trip we couldn’t understand why the fish were all dead when we landed them, the skipper scalded us and reminded us the loch is almost 600 foot deep, of course they are dead. Lesson learned.
It's so beautiful. Oops, sorry your fishing trip didn't go to plan, but at least you got to go out onto the Loch which must have been amazing. Every where you look up there are breathtaking views. ♥️

We love this town. I would have loved to have sampled the restaurants, but one of our dogs is still a puppy. I think she may have caused a riot. ♥️

The chip shop in Main Street does great fresh Fish and Chips and also great Black Pudding Suppers
Hi Robert. Next time we go back we are going to make sure we check to see if they are open. Nick loves black pudding. 😍
The vital spark is not a fishing boat look it up
We did. Now we know. 🤭
